The curly-haired server was so warm and helpful. She took time to explain the menu and the fresh ingredients, which I really appreciated.

Grabbed a quick breakfast outside. Food came out fast, and the sausages were spot on - really good flavour. Everything felt clean and well-organised. Just a nice, simple start to the day.

Service was spot on. They took my nut allergy seriously, double-checked everything with the kitchen. Felt properly looked after, which is a relief when you're eating out.

Stopped in for a Sunday lunch post-renovation. The new decor is clean but feels a bit sterile, lacks the old warmth. Service was the main issue – had to wave down staff twice, once to order and again for cutlery. Food itself was fine, but the wait detracted.

Simple, tasty food and very affordable. The curries are a solid choice, and the chicken bites with that smoky dip were pretty good. Portions are generous, which is always a plus.

We love going to the Sandpiper for its good food and good service. However, we were disappointed to see how much the prices had gone up. We will have to think again about whether we return.

Been popping in for a quick pint for years now. It's the one place I know I'll always get a decent, well-priced drink without any fuss. Staff are sound, place is always clean. Just reliable.

Love the big outdoor seating on the pedestrian street. Feels like a sunny day in Europe, right here in the Northern Quarter.

I had a wonderful experience with the staff, especially Tilly, who greeted us with a smile and provided attentive service throughout our meal. It's refreshing to see such dedication to customer service.

Good spot for a working lunch. Plenty of tables with power outlets. Service was prompt, and it stayed quiet inside even when the patio was busy. Decent coffee, got a few hours of focused work done.

Great spot for the rugby! The fish and chips with a Guinness hit the spot.

As per usual the food and service were excellent. We went early Friday evening ( to save cooking). It was quiet but the service was quite efficient. The wine was also rather excellent even if it was the lowest price Sauvignon Blanc.Another good evening.

Been coming here for years, and it's still my go-to for a quiet drink. The music's never too loud, you can actually have a conversation. That's what keeps me coming back.

The baked aubergine was a highlight for me—the freshness of the vegetables really came through. A solid choice for a healthy meal.

Been coming here for ages, always a chilled spot for a pint. They've got a solid rotation of craft ales and ciders. The lighting's just right, not too bright, and the wooden booths are comfy. Good for a quiet drink on your own.

The veggie breakfast is such a steal for under a fiver. Really hits the spot on a cold morning - the hash browns were properly crispy and the beans were steaming hot. A solid, no-fuss feed.

Nice spot for a casual drink. Plenty of outdoor seating, which was great on a sunny afternoon. The space feels open and modern. I like that they still take cash, not everywhere does these days.

Quiz night on Tuesdays is a solid deal. £1 entry, all goes to prizes. Questions are tough but fun. Perfect for a quick midweek pint and a bit of a brain teaser.

Sunday roast was spot on. Big portion, good value. Jordan was quick and friendly. Dessert was a nice finish. Perfect for a quick Sunday lunch.

The Sunday roast beef was spot on, and the house red they suggested went beautifully with it. Lively spot for a weekend meal.

Emma and Stephen were so nice, really made us feel at home. They remembered our drinks and checked in just enough. That kind of service sticks with you.

The app ordering is handy, saves queuing at the bar. Got the weekday steak deal, decent for the price. The place was packed but our food came out pretty fast.

The staff are really friendly and the service is quick. It's nice to have the free pool tables to enjoy while you're having a drink.

Stumbled upon this spot and had a really nice evening. The vibe is just lively enough, not too loud, and the crowd seemed friendly. The high ceilings and warm lighting made it feel really spacious and comfortable.

Perfect for a lazy lunch with mates. The staff were really friendly and the food hit the spot. What stood out for me was the wine list – found a lovely, affordable bottle that went down a treat with the sharing plates.

We’re regulars now. Sophie and the team make you feel part of the place. Even our dog gets a warm welcome. Just a proper local.

Nice quiet spot for a Sunday drink. Bar was spotless, which I always notice. Staff on the door were lovely, really set a relaxed mood. Just what I needed.

Been here for brekkie a few times. The full English is solid, and they keep the buffet topped up. Good spread for the price. Gets a bit busy at weekends though.

The duck spring rolls were lovely, and the triple cheese and onion pie was just right for a cosy meal. The booths are so comfortable, which really makes a difference when you're settling in. A nice, relaxed spot.
