TheForkUserWas recommended to come here by a friend and this was a fantastic experience. I had a great time grilling a wide variety of beautiful wagyu cuts over charcoal. The buffet had a good selection of food, with sashimi, appetisers and vegetables. There was amazing service and felt very welcome. Will definitely come back again.

TheForkUserWe ordered lamb benny, chicken and haloumi salad, superfood salad, reuben sandwich and beef burger. All dishes were tasty and delicious except for the beef burger - a bit dry and could do with a little more flavour. Coffee is excellent - one of the best in town I reckon! Empty tables were left with crumbs. Not sightly for the next customers.

TheForkUserFirst time at this Cafe and loved it. Food was lovely, reasonably priced all day menu. Also there are cakes/slices/sweets in the front cabinet which we will return to try! Staff were lovely especially after google/fork made a mistake with our booking. Private function room was perfect space at no extra cost and was child friendly with a collection of toys and books

TheForkUserWe went to Fergus for lunch with friends. We have been to Fergus about 6 times before, but only for breakfast in the past. The menu is varied enough and there is all day breakfast available as well. Serves are generous in size and a real highlight is the Mushroom Medley with poached egg on sourdough. We sat out the back ( where we always sit ) and had very good service from a young staff member ( Alex ). There is a good range of ciabatta rolls, Turkish bread rolls and sandwiches in the display at front but we chose from the menu. Fergus provides a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere and we will return again with friends.

TheForkUserMagic Mountain Saloon a wonderful dining experience with great food and the spicy margarita was absolutely amazing. The fork does need to update their website for bookings as Magic Mountain does not start serving brunch until 11.30am, and normal menu from 12pm. Our booking was confirmed for 11am, so we were unable to enter until after 11.30am. Magic Mountain provided complimentary drinks and discounted our non-drinkers' brunch. Would highly recommend.

TheForkUserThe Sunday pork roast was excellent. Pork was tender, perfect crackling and a huge selection of winter veg (Swede, potato, pumpkin, beetroot, turnip, sweet potato and broccolini). Gravy was homemade and super tasty. Yorkshire pudding was disappointing, that’s the only negative. Service was excellent. Highly recommend the Palace Hotel for Sunday Roast.

The food was delicious and it appeared that all 16 people on our table enjoyed the entrees and mains provided. The only thing I would have changed was the seating arrangements. We had a table of 16 and right next to us was another large table with 15-20 people so the noise level was a little excessive. Other than that, a great time was had by all.

Well our concerns were soon put to rest with the tasty mussels followed by a fantastic seafood pasta dish. The highlight was the frisgioli dessert…an absolute must try dish. Many thanks to the chef and service from Alessandro…can’t wait to go back!

TheForkUserWe visited this restaurant as a family with Gluten intolerances and enjoyed the food thoroughly. My favourite was the arancini balls on mushroom pate and the almond cake although everything was delicious. The family were also delightful and came over to the table a couple of times for a lovely chat and last but not least our waitress was efficient and on the ball with our nut allergies. We will definitely be back.

TheForkUserEnjoyed the venue, the food was great, however we ordered an entree to share and two mains, with rice - they all arrived at the same time, which made the mains cold by the time we got to eat them. Otherwise it was good. Just next time space out delivery of entree and mains please.
