Trattoria Il Gallo Bianco

A place a few km from the center of Scalea, far from the chaos in a decidedly informal and familiar environment, it feels like eating with friends with excellent quality products at low prices, with 20 euros you can eat. Worth mentioning are the owners of unique kindness, their daughter Martina played the whole time with our 4 year old son!! Highly recommended

Rustic place, where you can breathe the real family air. Surrounded by greenery and tranquility. I want to compliment the mother-in-law and wife who with care in the kitchen, are ready to fatten up their customers... that's how it was used and must continue to be used, otherwise traditions will be lost but above all the name of eating well and abundantly in the south. I am sure that with sacrifice, this beautiful couple will be repaid for their efforts and sacrifices. Instead I ask the restaurant owners in the area who have now become the majority of Cracco&Co, to go and eat in this place because perhaps they have forgotten that they descend from the land, that their grandfathers and fathers were certainly farmers... and not to get too carried away because we prefer to leave the Craccos in cities full of money but also full of sadness. Good luck with everything.

Our dinner at Gallo Bianco was fantastic. The appetizers were perfect, with just the right amount of cheese, sausage, eggplant, vegetables and bruschetta. Our fusilli were just like grandma used to make them…the veal sauce was delicious. A rustic place but I can assure you don’t judge a book by its cover. Gallo Bianco is definitely worth a visit…we will be back on our next visit to Calabria. Angela is a truly wonderful hostess, very helpful in describing each dish. Thank you so much!

Small trattoria surrounded by greenery where the courtesy and kindness of the managers immediately puts you at ease. Zero km and very fresh food and very well presented and decidedly pleasant. Fair prices. A pleasant discovery.
