A proper old pub, the kind that feels lived-in. The cellar's the thing though - they've got Dick Turpin's coffin down there. A bit of a weird, but interesting, touch to the place.

The steak and ale pie was the highlight. The pastry was flaky and buttery, the filling rich with tender beef and a deep, savoury gravy. It's a proper pub pie.

Been coming here for years, and the breakfast is always spot on. Freshly cooked, just the way I like it. That consistency is what keeps me coming back.

Tried the breakfast Yorkshire pudding wrap. It’s a solid idea, really filling. The gravy was good, sausage was proper. A bit messy to eat but that’s part of it. Hit the spot on a cold morning.

The linguine Bolognese was spot on. Pasta cooked just right, and the sauce had a proper depth of flavour. Really hit the spot for a quiet lunch.

Hidden gem in Wakefield! The food tastes just like home cooking, and it's so affordable. Perfect for a casual catch-up with friends.

Popped in for a coffee. The sunny spot was perfect for it, and they had a nice selection of pastries. The music was at just the right volume.

We were a group of ten for breakfast and they handled it so well. I really appreciated the fresh ingredients in my smoothie, you could taste the quality. The coffee was smooth too. A very pleasant morning.

Stumbled in for a late breakfast. The veggie breakfast was huge, really tasty. Good iced coffee too. Staff were nice, didn’t rush us out. Just what I needed.

Been coming here for years. Megan's mango lemonade is my go-to - she always remembers I like it extra tart. Even when it's heaving, she still finds a second for a quick chat. That consistency is why I keep coming back.

Cooked breakfast was fresh and tasty. Quick service, good value for a fast bite.

Bagel was hot and fresh, which is nice. They don't skimp on the fillings either, the portion was decent. Pickled cucumbers were a good touch, house-made I think.

Popped in for a coffee. The lavender latte was a nice change, not too sweet. The biscoff one sounded interesting too. Good spot for something a bit different from the usual.

Came here after walking the dog, nice and chilled during the day. The Wednesday pub quiz is a proper laugh though, really gets the place buzzing. Staff knew their stuff on the ales, which helped us pick a round for the table. Good spot for a midweek catch-up!

The bacon and sausage roll was the star. Really thick, quality bacon and the sausages were tasty. The onions on top were just right, not too sweet. A solid choice for a quick lunch.

Been coming here for years. It's my local spot for a quiet coffee and a bite. The staff are always friendly, and the food's consistently good. Nothing fancy, just solid.

The cheese scones are homemade and really hit the spot. Staff are lovely, too. My only tiny gripe is that they ran out of the plain ones by the time I got there. Still, a solid choice for a quick bite.

Lovely little spot, super dog-friendly which is a plus. Had the carrot cake and a flat white - the cake was really moist and the coffee hit the spot. Perfect for a casual catch-up with a friend.
