Been here a few times for a quick business lunch. The food is reliable and they have a solid choice of local beers and wines by the glass. Service is efficient. Prices are fair for the area.

The room was so spacious and clean, just what I needed. It's a busy pub downstairs, but honestly, you wouldn't know it up here. So quiet. A really comfy spot to unwind.

The afternoon tea was lovely. I really appreciated how fresh the sandwich fillings were, and the scones were still warm. A proper treat.

Had the Cornish pasty here, it was huge and really tasty. The coffee was decent too. Service was quick, which was perfect because we were catching up with friends and didn't want a long wait. Good spot for a casual bite.

The hot chocolate with real flakes was a treat. Their barista coffee is solid, but the chocolate drink stole the show for me.

Booked ahead for the Sunday carvery - smart move, it's packed. The wait was short, and the staff were on it. The house red was a solid match for the roast.

Portions are generous, the food is prepared with care. I had the full English breakfast, and it was very tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made for a relaxed and comfortable meal.

Booked a table early after hearing their specials change often. The seasonal veg plate was a standout - simple but with so much flavour. Staff were really helpful explaining the dishes. A couple of the specials were gone by the time we ordered, so glad we got in when we did!

Mussels were fantastic, best in ages. Portion was generous, really well done. For the price, you get a lot of food. Solid value.

The roast beef sandwich was really tasty, the beef was tender and the bread fresh. Portion was generous with a nice side salad. Owners were lovely, made us feel welcome. A solid lunch spot.

Lovely spot to bring the dog. The daily changing menu is a nice touch, but the portions felt a bit small for the price.

Been coming here for years, and that open fire is the main reason. It’s always roaring, perfect for a pint on a cold evening. Just feels like the proper, cozy pub experience you don’t get everywhere anymore.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. They got the balance right - attentive but not hovering over you all the time. Made the whole thing feel relaxed.

The new spot has indoor seating now, which is a plus on a breezy day like today. My fish and chips were just as good as I remember from the old place—crispy batter and proper chips. A solid choice for a classic meal here.

The lunch menu is a solid deal. The staff were really helpful in picking a wine that went with my pasta.

Love popping in here for a bite. The staff are genuinely lovely, which always makes it a nice visit. Had the grilled sea bass last time—cooked just right, skin was super crispy.

Xxxxx We visit the Toby Carvery at Bridgend regularly and find it consistent in both quality of food and service which we would rate as very good. We would have no hesitation in recommending this particular restaurant to anyone for both quality of food and service.

The roast dinner is the star. The beef was tender, the potatoes crispy, and the gravy had that proper homemade depth. Everything tasted cooked just right. Good value for the quality.

Nice spot. The bathroom walls are covered in jokes, which was a fun touch.

Been here a few times. The small fish and chips is a decent portion, honestly fills me up. Good for the price you pay.

Been coming here for years, the Sunday roast is the real deal. The beef is always spot on, falls apart with a fork. They do a smaller portion if you ask, which is handy. Decent spot for a relaxed Sunday.

Popped into this old village pub for a pint. The lounge bar is a proper cosy spot, low ceilings and a real fire. Just the kind of place you want to hunker down in on a damp afternoon. Pint was spot on.

The local pale ale was the standout. Crisp, hoppy, with a nice citrus finish. The food was solid, but honestly, that beer is the reason I'd think about coming back. They were packed but still got it to the table quick.

Lunch visit, got a table easily. Calamari was good, kids finished their bolognese. Service was prompt and friendly, which helped with a quick meal.

A bit pricey, but you can taste the quality. That gorgonzola tagliatelle was the star for me - the pasta was spot on and the sauce so creamy.

A proper family-run spot, feels like someone's home. The staff are lovely and chatty. I saw a mix of locals grabbing a quick bite and tourists with maps out. Really nice vibe for a relaxed lunch.

Lovely chilled vibe for a Sunday. Carly was just so warm and attentive, really made us feel looked after. That kind of genuine service is a nice touch.

Nice spot for a pre-Christmas prosecco. A bit pricey for the pour, but a good break from shopping.

Been coming here for years, it’s a proper local spot. The owners always remember you. Menu’s simple but they do a solid roast on Sundays. Portions are decent, nothing fancy. Just a reliable meal.

Found this place by chance and it's dog-friendly, which was perfect. The goat cheese starter was really something else. Just a lovely little spot for a relaxed meal.
