A proper country pub with a great beer selection. The veggie breakfast with grilled halloumi was spot on, and the chef clearly knows his stuff. The bedroom was quiet and the bed comfy. My only quibble? The wine list felt a bit limited for a place with such good food.

The beer garden is lovely, plenty of space to sit outside. Had a decent lunch there, very relaxed. It's a good spot for families.

Proper old-school curry house. They still do the handwritten bills, even on a packed Saturday.

Been coming here for years, and the bottomless brunch is consistently spot on. Service is always quick, never feel rushed.

The food was really tasty, especially the grilled octopus. The space itself is lovely, with big windows and lots of natural light. Just a nice, relaxed spot for a meal.

The new landlord has made such a difference here. It finally feels like a proper local pub again. I love the warm, inviting atmosphere now - had a really nice, relaxed evening with a fresh, well-prepared burger.

Lovely pub vibe, especially with the arcade and bowling right next door. The kids had a blast here - a proper fun spot for a casual outing.

Nice local pub, recently refurbished so feels fresh. Good selection of beers and lagers, all fairly priced. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Stopped in for a quick pint after work, it's conveniently located. Did the job.

Been coming here for years, always get the Sunday roast. The pork is consistently spot on, and that crackling is just right every time. The sticky toffee pudding is my go-to finish. It's the reliability that keeps me coming back.

The portions are huge! We've done takeaway a few times and ate in once. The food's always piping hot and cooked just right. Perfect for sharing with mates when you're really hungry.

Been coming here for years, and the staff are always so thoughtful. Last week I was running late and they kept my food warm without me even asking. That kind of attention to detail is what keeps me coming back.

The staff here are so helpful. I ordered the wrong thing by mistake, and when I mentioned it, they just brought out what I actually wanted, no extra charge or hassle. Really nice of them.

Had a lovely lunch with family, we asked to sit in a quieter area hence we're away from view of staff in a raised area - despite us being out of view the staff were very attentive making sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely eat at Fire Lake again

The drinks are great, but I was really impressed by the bar snacks. The chorizo and cheddar doughballs were a decent size for sharing and tasted proper. Good value for what you get.

Been coming here for years, the Sunday roast is always reliable. The beef is sliced thick, just how I like it. Gravy’s spot on.

The Kyoto Cluck-Cluck bao was the star for me. The steamed bun was so soft and fluffy, and the chicken inside was just the right kind of juicy. Really enjoyed the whole vibe of the place while eating it.

Decent local spot, nothing fancy. Had the fish and chips, portion was generous for the price. Could easily share one between two if you're not starving. Good value for a casual meal.

The decor is nice, cozy feel. The off-street parking is a practical touch.

The staff were so friendly and attentive, which really made the evening. They checked in just the right amount. The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly, with lovely fresh, crisp greens on the side. A very pleasant spot for a relaxed dinner.

Came by for a drink. The Old Fashioned was spot on, one of the best I've had. Strawberry daiquiri was good too. Just a solid place for a cocktail.

The pizza was really fresh, with a lovely thin crust and quality ingredients. Just what I was looking for.

Been here a few times for lunch. The set menu is decent, good sized portions. Flavours are solid, nothing fancy. They do a nice range of drinks too. Service is quick, which is what you want when you're on a break.

Loved the presentation of the truffle pasta. The little herb garnish was so thoughtful. A really cozy corner for a quiet chat, just what I needed.

Georgia was great. Super quick with the drinks, checked on us just enough. Made the quick lunch feel easy. 👍

Popped in for a quiet pint after work. The atmosphere is just right for that - never feels too loud or empty. It's a proper Leeds pub, you can see why it's been around so long. The bitter was spot on, served at the perfect temperature.

Kaylea was lovely. She noticed I had my baby and quickly brought a high chair. She even offered a little bread roll for him, which was a thoughtful touch. The service was so considerate, it really helped me relax and enjoy the meal.

Oli was so lovely! The free meat and cheese platter with our bottle of Gavi was a great shout for sharing with friends. We ended up staying for ages just chatting. The wine was a really nice match for the nibbles.

The samosa sandwich was huge and really hit the spot. Can't argue with the price either.

Popped in for a drink on a Tuesday and got roped into the pub quiz. The staff were so welcoming about it, even found us a quieter table in the corner to join in. Made for a really nice, relaxed evening.
