Stopped in for a Sunday lunch post-renovation. The new decor is clean but feels a bit sterile, lacks the old warmth. Service was the main issue – had to wave down staff twice, once to order and again for cutlery. Food itself was fine, but the wait detracted.

Been here a few times for business lunches. Food is reliably good, flavours are solid. The grilled sea bass last week was spot on. Service can be a bit slow when they're busy, but it's a convenient location for meetings.

Been coming here for years. Their coffee selection is really something else, beans from everywhere. I usually grab a bag of the Ethiopian ground to go. It's a bit pricier than the supermarket, but you can taste the difference.

Been coming here for years, always get the Friday fish and chips. It's the consistency that keeps me coming back - same generous portion, same crispy batter. A solid spot you can rely on.

Wheelchair access was great, and they handled our toddler without a fuss. Food was solid, good ingredients. A bit pricey for a quick lunch, but you get what you pay for. Got us in and out fast.

Always a quick, reliable lunch. Food's consistently good and the staff are efficient.

Booked in for a Sunday roast for my partner's birthday. The whole experience was good Peter greeted us and showed to our table and Holly looked after us thereafter.

Came here twice last week for the vegan options. The mushroom pie is really good, proper pub food. Nice spot for a casual bite.

Been coming here for years, and the staff are always so friendly. It's nice to see a place that stays consistent.

Cosy little spot, perfect for a relaxed brunch. The staff were really friendly which added to the nice, welcoming vibe. Had a good coffee and just enjoyed the atmosphere for a bit.

The staff were so friendly, especially our waitress. It was actually her first day, but she still knew the menu inside out. Really impressive.

The team dinner was a hit. Food quality was excellent, and they called us when our table was ready. Nice touch.

The staff here are really on it. We barely waited at the bar, and our food came out fast. Everything felt smooth and easy, which was nice for a first visit. They were just friendly without being over the top.

The service here is genuinely warm and attentive. Our server remembered our drink orders from last time, and the team just seems to enjoy what they do. It makes a real difference to the whole evening.

Simple, tasty food and very affordable. The curries are a solid choice, and the chicken bites with that smoky dip were pretty good. Portions are generous, which is always a plus.

Always a nice vibe at our local spot. The staff are genuinely pleasant and helpful, which makes a difference. We popped in for dinner last night and it just felt easy and relaxed.

Popped in for a mid-morning break. Their homemade scones were spot on, still warm. The real winner was the coffee - a rich, smooth blend that paired beautifully with the scone's buttery crumb. Just the right pick-me-up for a stroll around Wallasey.

Been here a few times now. Always get a friendly nod when I walk in. The lamb chops last night were spot on - cooked just right. Staff seem to genuinely like working here, which makes a difference.

The steak was cooked just right, and the staff were genuinely friendly. What really stood out was the wine list – they had a nice selection of local reds that paired perfectly with the meat. A solid spot.

The portions are generous for the price, and you can tell the food is made in-house. I really liked the relaxed, rustic feel of the place—it's just a comfortable spot to have a meal without any fuss.

A solid pit stop before the ferry. The food punches above its weight for the price.

Desserts are the move here. Waffles and ice cream were solid. Fresh, good portions. That’s it really.

Staff were so lovely, especially Becky the manager. She really looked after us and made the whole evening feel special. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, perfect for a catch-up with friends. Just a really nice spot.

Proper old-school pub, feels like stepping back in time. The low ceilings and dark wood are just right. Had the steak and ale pie, really hit the spot on a drizzly evening.

Cosy spot, good for a casual dinner. Had the lamb shank, it was tender and fell off the bone. Service was efficient, got the bill quickly when asked. A bit pricey for what it is, but the location is convenient.
