📍 Start: Casa Aimirall
📍 End: La Confiteria
👉🏻 Length: 2 km, about an hour
🌺 Route
🍃 Casa Aimirall — Opened in the mid-19th century and long-run by the Aimirall family, this corner tavern on 📍Carrerde Joaquin Costa retains most of its modernist decor, especially the painted windows, counters and display cases facing the street.
🍃 Bar Murry Buenas — Opened as a milk bar in the late 19th century, it retains most of its original decor. Friendly atmosphere, perfect for lunch or a drink, very comfortable.
🍃 Boqueria Market — There are six or seven low-key dining options. The market dates back to the 13th century. It was not officially settled in its current location until 1840. A metal roof was added in 1914, with beautiful wrought iron. The entrance sign is inlaid with colorful stained glass.
🍃 Hotel Espana — Very famous. Partly designed by Domenech i Montaner in 1903. Sala Arnau has an alabaster fireplace. The restaurant serves moderate traditional Catalan cuisine.
🍃 Palau Guell — One of Gaudí's important early works. Although Palau Guell is not the master's usual modernist style. But there are still obvious Gaudí elements. For example, the chimney made of broken tiles on the roof terrace. If you miss it when you are barbering at night, you might as well come back to see it during the day.
🍃 Go south along Carrer de Sant Pau and pass the Romanesque church to La Confiteria, which was once a barber shop and later a candy store for a long time. It was converted into a beautiful bar in 1958. Most of the elements in the front, including the facade, bar counter and display cabinets are impressive.
