Ministry of Crab

When you come to Colombo, you must eat crabs here. They are killed upon ordering, and you can feel the freshness of the crab meat. I also added some garlic buns, and the taste was really unique when I dipped them in garlic. In the end, I finished several slices of bread by myself.

It really lives up to the title of Michelin restaurant. The restaurant is in an alley and all the details are very good. I ate garlic crab and shrimp, which tasted really good. You can go later and basically get a table. The shrimp and crab are fresh and super good. You can drink ginger beer, which is also very delicious. The free crab is just right. Except for being expensive, there is nothing wrong with it. It is worth a try.

Ordered a "Godzilla Crab" (biggest crab ever) to enjoy on my own; it was delicious! The crab curry was very good and fresh. The curry sauce was one of the best I have ever had. The service was efficient and friendly. The only disappointment was the limited wine list and the limited selection of wines on it. The atmosphere and color scheme of the restaurant are very good.

Today we arranged to have lunch at Ministry of Crab, which is one of the top 50 restaurants in Asia and specializes in crabs and seafood. Our tour guide Kuma is really awesome and has friends everywhere. Even the foreman in the restaurant is his friend. We arranged dinner at 11:30. We ordered two Sri Lankan crabs, garlic chilly & chilly flavours, and an oyster sixers vodka and two shrimps. I can only say that the taste is really great and amazing. I can’t describe the taste until I experience it myself. I still linger on it when I think about it now. Remember to book a table early, as it is really hard to get a seat here.

The location is very good, right on the city beach. There are not many people at noon, but it is said that it is difficult to make a reservation at night. The taste is definitely not bad, but it feels like it is all hyped up by Chinese people. The crabs are just bigger. It's just a gimmick, don't take it too seriously. This is not a Michelin three-star hotel.

I have to give this restaurant full marks, because this is not only the best meal I had during my trip to Sri Lanka, but also the best blue crab I have ever eaten so far. It is located in the Old Dutch Hospital in Colombo, and the business is very hot. Many tourists come here because of its reputation. The price of crabs ranges from 500 grams to 1.5 kilograms according to weight. 500 grams of crabs cost 3,000 rupees. There are butter, garlic chili and other methods. I ordered garlic chili, which is delicious and absolutely worth the price. The shrimp is also delicious. I ordered butter, garlic and other flavors. I wanted to lick the plate clean. The restaurant charges a 10% service charge. In addition, there are government taxes, so a meal is not cheap, more than 200 per person, but it is definitely worth it. For foodies, this restaurant is an important factor in my nostalgia for Sri Lanka. .

A must-try crab meal in Colombo! Reservations are required. The weather was bad when we arrived, so there weren't enough crabs, and they were limited. We were given four crabs for 12 people, which was plenty, considering the crabs were large. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but the prices are a bit high. I didn't even take a photo of the crabs, but the large shrimp were quite tempting.
