TheForkUserThis was our second visit - the first time was so good we couldn't wait to go back - and it didn't disappoint. Although the menu is quite small, the standard of the food is wonderful, and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the ambience improved when a large group arrived. We would recommend this restaurant very highly.
TheForkUserGood restaurant with friendly staff and good food at reasonable prices. Service was a little slow as staff seemed to struggle with the amount of guests, but very friendly. The food was good throughout (starter and main) and good value for money:
TheForkUserHaving made a very last minute reservation for one, I arrived at the restaurant at 19:00 on Friday 28 July and was shown a table at the rear, from where you could see the chef at work.I was the first to arrive, but after some 30 minutes the restaurant, which is small and cosy, was already more than half full and when I had finished my main course, every table was taken..The food was delicious. As a starter I had pieces of salmon fillet with spinach and spiced cream, nicely presented, and a coconut naan, both very tasty. My main was a vegetarian dish with aubergine, which, although it did not look as attractive as the starter, was also very good. It was served with basmati rice. For dessert I chose the "thé gourmand", consisting of a cup of any tea from the menu, accompanied by four mini-desserts (for those who find it hard to choose).I cannot speak for any of the drinks on the menu: as it was a hot day, I ordered a large bottle of sparkling water to go with the food.I was very happy with my choice of restaurant and will certainly book a table at this place again, next time I visit Lille. One more thing: when I left, people were (still) waiting outside the restaurant to get a table. Always a good sign.
TheForkUserExcellent food and unusual tastes and combinations . Very friendly waiter. Lovely place to have a dinner. Would recommend going here for a dinner.
TheForkUserEverything was fine, french food good and service excellent. The environment is warm and friendly. My advice is to go there
TheForkUserReally impressed with this meal. Super inventive menu. Great atmosphere great service great food. Overall highly recommended.
TheForkUserOutstanding food and service! Really enjoyed talking with sommelier throughout the meal, and learning about the excellent wine pairings. Excellent meal!
TheForkUserVery friendly and professional service, great food, cosy place. It looks much nicer than in the pictures! I would come back.
TheForkUserPerfect setting, friendly servants and high quality food and drinks have made our visit memorable! We are definitely coming back here and will highly recommend to friends and family!
TheForkUserA pork terrine and mussels cooked in maroilles cheese. A Belgian white beer to drink. One small detail: the discount applied to the main but not the starter.
TheForkUserwe ordered Welsh complet, and it was delicious. however, I was expecting a bigger portion, but it was expensive for small plate.
TheForkUserA small and intimate restaurant with excellent, well presented food and service. Although menu is not extensive there was good variety and choice with fixed price menu options. The Tiramasu was excellent! Thank you forcan enable evening.
TheForkUserThe hostess was fabulous, the food delicious and the ambience wonderful. Our French is woeful but we were made to feel incredibly welcome, including our dog Bruce. The food is proper French cuisine done to a great standard. If we ever return to the region we will definitely pay Chez Fanny another visit. Merci.
TheForkUserClaire'Maris was the highlight of our recent visit to France. There was an extensive selection of vegetarian dishes to choose from. The food was really good quality, and absolutely delicious. The staff were wonderful and helpful, we had a lovely lunch.
TheForkUserSuper service ,theo au top
TheForkUserI went there for lunch and order the plat du jour which was a haddock. Haven't had such fresh fish in years. Totally Michelin star standards. My friend had a chicken polenta and she was also very happy with her dish. Will go again.
TheForkUserNice restaurant in the hotel, menu dinner was nice and worth the money. On a Saturday evening they had a person playing piano that added to the atmosphere
TheForkUserA cool complement to the formal dining 'upstairs'. Food was great..sadly the wine list a little limited (and having asked if we could choose from fuller list of the main restaurant above was advised a blank 'Non'). Not a wise strategy
TheForkUserThe food was ok but nothing special. The burger is small rather than large. The staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. However, the atmosphere did not impress me, because there is a bistro and a tobacconist in the same space (selling lottery tickets, ...).
TheForkUserIt was a surprise as we enter in e Volvo garage to take a meal. It was intresting to sit beneath the cars to est. The service was very nice
TheForkUserVery good food, probably everything is home made, you can taste the quality. We will definitely go back
TheForkUserExcellent dinner representing the best of small French restaurants. All 3 courses most enjoyable. Recommended.
TheForkUserGreat, friendly service and really tasty food. Chicken tikka and tandoori king prawn starters were excellent 👌. Many thanks 😊
