Portions are definitely generous. Had the steak frites, couldn't finish it all. The house red they suggested was a solid match, cut through the richness nicely. Left feeling very full, maybe a bit too much!

Popped in before a gig at the venue next door. Super handy spot for that. The vibe inside was just right—not too loud, comfy booths, and the lighting was soft. Made for a really relaxed start to the night.

The lamb shank was the standout. Slow-cooked for hours, the meat just fell apart. Rich, deep flavour from the sauce, not just salty. The mash underneath soaked it all up perfectly. That's a proper main course.

The roast duck is the reason I keep coming back. The skin was incredibly crispy, and the meat underneath was so tender and flavourful. It's a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. That's the dish to order.

The chargrilled beef was really nice and tender, served with sticky rice. But what I appreciated most was how comfortable the seating was - proper chairs with backs, not those tiny stools. The staff were very pleasant and didn't rush us at all.

The king prawn karahi was pretty good. Prawns were plump, sauce had a decent flavour. A solid choice for a curry. The portion was fine, though the price felt a touch high. Would order it again.

Had breakfast here before the museum. The coffee was really good, strong and hot. My eggs were cooked just right. It got the morning off to a solid start.

The vibe here is just right. Elegant but not stuffy. Those vegetarian small plates were lush, and the sourdough bread? Honestly to die for. A lovely spot for a relaxed evening.

Walked in without a booking and they squeezed us in. The staff were so friendly, really made us feel welcome.

The owner was so nice, he even made my dish extra spicy when I asked. Really appreciated that.

Tried the tamarind and coconut ribs on my first visit. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the sauce had a nice balance of sweet and tangy. The coconut flavour was subtle but came through. A solid dish.

The separate vegan menu was a lifesaver for our group! 🙌

The crab doughnut was a real highlight for me. You could really taste the freshness of the crab, and the texture was lovely. The squid tostada was good, but I found the seasoning a touch heavy. Still, a nice spot for sharing plates.

Popped in late, the staff were still lovely. Food was solid, especially the late-night pasta. Came back the next day!

The seafood specials were decent, but the portion sizes could be a bit more generous for the price.

The food at Gurkha is exceptional, with rich flavors and beautifully presented dishes. The chicken tikka masala and lamb korma were particularly delicious!

The prawn summer rolls were so fresh, packed with herbs and that dipping sauce was just right. I ended up ordering a second portion! The BBQ pork with jasmine rice was solid, too. Really enjoyed the vibe here.

The strawberry daiquiri was a real standout. It arrived perfectly chilled and had this great balance of sweet and tart. The rest of the food came out quickly and hot, which was nice. A solid spot for a casual drink.

The grilled pork banh mi is the one to get. The baguette was fresh and crisp, and the little bowl of beef broth on the side was a nice touch.

Nice spot for a quick bite. Food's solid, staff are friendly. Only thing - took a while to get the bill after we finished. Still, good option for near the stadium.

A really peaceful spot for lunch. The music is gentle, not intrusive at all. I appreciate how clean everything feels – the tables, the cutlery. It lets you focus on your food without any distractions. A nice change from the usual bustle.

Lovely spot to sit outside on a sunny day. They're dog-friendly too, so I could bring my pup along. The shade from the trees was just right.

Seafood pasta was generous, fresh prawns and mussels. Good portion for the price. Service was efficient, got the bill quickly. Windows make it bright.

Birria beef tacos were the highlight. The meat was so tender and flavourful, and the consommé for dipping was perfect. A really fun spot in Finnieston, and the margarita I had was a nice touch.

Been coming here for years, it's a solid local spot. The gluten-free options are a lifesaver for my partner. Food's always good quality, looks just like the menu photos. Place is nice and roomy, never feels cramped.

The haggis was really good. Had it with the brown sauce, and then tried it with hashbrown and cheese. Both ways worked for me. Solid choice.

Had the pierogi here and honestly, it's the closest I've had to Warsaw. The portion was huge for the price, I couldn't finish it all. Will definitely be back to try the bigos.

The dome ceiling is stunning, really sets the place apart. Food was tasty, atmosphere lively. A solid spot in Edinburgh.

Solid deal. 6 quid for 6 starters, 10 for mains. Food's decent for the price. Went for the calamari and a burger. Can't complain.

Oscar was so lovely! He gave us some great tips about the menu and even a few local spots to check out later. Really made our girls' night feel special. The service was just spot on.
