Lovely relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were really friendly. The gin selection is great too!

Nice spot for a post-walk pint. The local ale selection was spot on, and the back terrace is a proper sun trap. Bus stop outside is handy.

A proper local, not trying to be anything else. The charm is in the simple, excellent pub food and a very welcoming landlady. Their selection of real ales was spot on – found a lovely, malty bitter that paired perfectly with the steak and ale pie. Just a solid, comfortable spot.

The Sunday roast was the star. The beef was tender, cooked just right, and the gravy had a proper depth of flavour. The vegan option was solid too, with a good nut roast. Could have done with a few more roast potatoes, but the ones they had were crispy and fluffy inside.

Great choice of premium beers on tap. The quality is there for the slightly higher price.

Nice spot right on the water. Grabbed a pint and played a few board games. The vibe is really relaxed, just what I needed.

cheap booze, can be quite busy and hard to find a table

Had the seafood stew again, it's always spot on. The harbour view from the window table is lovely. My only quibble is the wine list feels a bit limited for a place with such good food.

Unbelievable value for money for a bottomless brunch! The service from Victoria and Charlie was top-notch, making it a great choice for students looking to have a good time without breaking the bank.

Sunday evening was quiet, perfect for a quick drink. The £12 pizza and pint deal is solid. Bartender was efficient.

Sunday lunch here is a proper feed. The portions are huge, and you get a good selection of veg. Service was friendly and on the ball. A bit of a wait for the bill, but that’s a minor thing.

The burgers were the standout. Juicy patties, proper brioche buns, and the chips were spot on. Classic pub food done right.

The pub quiz was a fun way to spend an evening. It felt like a proper community event, which was lovely. The prizes were a nice touch, too.

Had a lovely evening with great food and a nice atmosphere. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

The Sunday roast is a proper feed for a group! Massive, thick slices of all three meats. We shared a platter and still had leftovers. The vibe is spot on for a lazy catch-up with friends.

Visited this pub recently and was impressed by the quality of service and the variety of drink options available. A must-visit when in the area!

Came for a Sunday roast. The beef was from the farm, you could tell. But honestly, for £22, I expected a bigger portion of meat. The veg were great, fresh and plenty. Just felt a bit light for the price.

Been coming here for years. Food's always spot on, never had a bad meal. The place is clean and they keep it looking fresh after the refit. Staff are friendly and work hard. Good value for the area.

Lovely atmosphere for a relaxed evening. The lighting was just right, not too dim, and the background music was at a perfect volume for conversation. Really enjoyed the vibe here.

Lovely little pub, really welcoming for dogs. The staff were so nice to our pup, gave him a water bowl and a treat. Made the whole visit feel relaxed and easy.

Been coming here for years, always solid for a post-work pint. Their rotating taps keep things interesting – tried a local sour last week that was a nice change from the usual. It's my go-to before a show at the Swan.

Busy Saturday afternoon, but the bar was well-staffed so service was decent and quick. The beer was well-kept and pretty good. They also have a fine selection of gin. A solid spot for a drink.

Loved the garden area. It's a lovely spot for a sunny afternoon, and they're dog-friendly which is a nice touch. Just a bit of a wait for a table outside.

The superior room on the top floor was a great choice. Spacious, clean, and had everything we needed. For the price we paid, it felt like a really good deal. The classic decor was a nice touch too.

Nice spot for a quick lunch. Had the fish and chips, came out fast. Good portion, crispy batter. The fireplace is a nice touch, makes it feel cozy. Service was quick and friendly. Perfect for a midweek bite.

Lovely Sunday lunch spot! The roast was spot on, crispy potatoes and a really good gravy. Nice relaxed vibe in the dining room too. Already thinking about coming back.

The Sunday roast is generous and the pork crackling is spot on. The seating is a bit tight, but the service is very friendly.

The carvery was a good choice for a busy day. The meats were cooked nicely, and the vegetables were fresh. It felt like a straightforward, comforting meal. The staff were friendly and kept things moving, which was appreciated.

A really comfortable spot. The staff were so friendly and attentive, which made the whole evening feel easy and relaxed. Just what I was after.

Cosy spot with the log burner going. The red wine lasagne was a proper portion for the price, really hearty. Sticky toffee pudding was good too. Felt like a decent meal for what I paid.
