Been going here for years. Their double cheeseburger is the real deal - juicy patty, proper toasted bun, the works. Always hits the spot. The local crowd keeps it friendly.

Great spot by the square. Calm escape from the seafront chaos. Had the grilled octopus, really tender. A bit pricey for the portion though.

The toffee pudding was the highlight for me. It's the kind of dessert you think about later. We did have to wait a bit for it, but that warm, sticky sweetness was worth the pause. Everything else was fine, but that pudding is the reason I'd go back.

Really liked having the choice of floor seating or regular tables. The takoyaki starter was lovely, perfectly crisp outside and warm inside. A nice, relaxed spot for a quiet meal.

Lovely spot for a quiet dinner. The view over the river is just so calming, especially as the sun starts to go down. That was the best part for me.

Nice spot if you're visiting the hospital nearby. Free parking is a plus. The outdoor seating was pleasant on a sunny day.

The Sunday roast was spot on, and the staff were so lovely. Will definitely be back for that!

The free pool on Thursdays is a nice touch for a casual evening.

A halal chippy with veggie options, which is nice. Shame they'd run out of the battered halloumi, but the menu still had plenty to choose from.

Love that you can build your own salad bowl here! Perfect for catching up with friends who all want something different.

Service was really quick and friendly. They even offered to drop our order off at the hotel, which was a nice touch. Made things so easy after a long day.

The birthday discount was a nice touch, they applied it without us even asking. The main dining room has a really lovely, relaxed feel to it, with those big windows letting in all the light. It made for a very pleasant lunch.

They fixed the order mix-up quickly. The wine list is solid, which helped smooth things over. Decent spot.

A decent spot for Chinese food. The spicy salted squid is really good, crisp and flavourful. The fried rice is a reliable choice too. The place was a bit loud on a Friday evening, but the food came out quickly.

The mixed grill was huge and the steak was spot on. Their house red was a decent match for it, not too pricey.

The staff are genuinely lovely. They accidentally gave me the wrong matcha but sorted it out so quickly and kindly. It felt like a proper neighbourhood spot, not just a cafe.

Solid spot in Maldon. Food was good, service efficient. Staff were friendly without being overbearing.

The food here is honestly the best I've found in this part of town. My pasta arrived steaming hot, which was a nice touch. Portions are generous too, definitely didn't leave hungry.

The seafood is definitely top-notch, so you get what you pay for. Portions are on the smaller side, but each dish is packed with flavour. It's more about quality than a huge plate.

Lovely little tea room. The afternoon tea was generous - two rounds of sandwiches, a big scone, and a proper slice of cake. The tea selection was decent, though I would have loved a glass of something sparkling to go with it. No rush at all, which was nice.

The pork loin roast was a generous plate, with plenty of meat, potatoes, and veg. The space itself is lovely—high ceilings and those big, comfy booths make it easy to settle in for a while.

Tofu in black bean sauce was flavourful and the veg spring rolls tasted fresh. Portions were decent for the price, which is always a plus. I left feeling satisfied without feeling like I'd overpaid.

Service was on point. Desserts arrived quickly after we finished our mains, which was nice. Staff kept an eye on our table without hovering.

The all-you-can-eat platter is perfect for catching up with friends. You can just stay seated and chat while they bring more food to the table.

Sara's a gem, always remembers our wine preferences. Her bubbly personality makes the evening. A bit of a wait for the main, but her attentiveness kept things pleasant.

The food here is consistently pretty good, with a decent variety. It's become my go-to spot for Indian in the area.

The fish and chips were the best I've had in ages. The batter was super crispy and light, not greasy at all. The chips were proper thick-cut and fluffy inside. Just a really solid plate of food.

Popped in for a quick bite after a walk. The fish tacos were made fresh to order, which you don't always get. Nice spot being so close to the beach too.

Love the smashed avocado on toast. The eggs royale is a solid choice too. Got there around 9 and it was nice and quiet, had a good spot by the window.
