The roast lamb pie was the standout for me. Really flavorful, well-seasoned filling and the pastry held up nicely. Grabbed an almond croissant for later too—still crispy hours after, which surprised me. Would happily go back just for that pie. Maybe not the cheapest, but decent for what you get.

Avocado toast was decent—good portion, just needed a bit more salt. Pancakes were soft and fluffy though. Fine for a casual breakfast stop.

Stopped here driving through Twizel — the rustic shed vibe inside is actually pretty cozy. Lamb curry pie was solid, lots of tender meat in there.

Been coming here for a while now, and the lake view from those big windows still gets me every time. Sat by the window with a cappuccino, just watched the water for a good half hour. Coffee's been consistent too, which is why I keep coming back. Staff were friendly enough, nothing to complain about.

Stopped here on a chilly Tekapo afternoon. Fish and chips were decent, but honestly the salt and pepper squid was the standout. Crispy, well seasoned, not rubbery at all. Sat outside and it was pretty nice even in the cold. Would come back just for that squid 🦑

Portions were solid and the pad thai hit the spot. Prices felt fair for what you get. Staff left us alone to eat, which I appreciated even with the place filling up.

The owners are friendly and the fish and chips stayed crispy both times I've been. Solid spot for a quick bite. The fried corn was decent too.
