The Good View Bar & Restaurant Chiang Mai

The Good View Bar & Restaurant is one of the three well-known restaurants along the Mae Ping River in Chiang Mai. It is both a bar and a restaurant. You can enjoy the charming night scenery of the riverside while enjoying delicious food and live singing. It is so comfortable. ​​​

A bar and restaurant by the river. When we went in at around 6pm, the seats by the river were already full. The price was not expensive, at over 600 baht, two people could not walk. The view was good, the river bank was very beautiful under the night lights, there was a band singing rock, but it was not noisy. The waiters basically did not speak Chinese, and their English was not very good. There were pictures and English on the menu, so you just had to look at the menu and order by gestures. You can use UnionPay credit cards. It's best to wear long sleeves and long pants, otherwise the mosquitoes and bugs will kiss you enthusiastically. His restaurant and the nearby riverside are restaurants recommended by many people on the Mae Ping River. I originally wanted to go to riverside, but it was dark and I didn't know the way. I searched for a long time but couldn't find riverside, but I saw goodview, so I decided to try this one. The restaurant is very large, we chose to sit by the river, the environment is good. I especially tried Thai specialties. Pineapple fried rice, which contains raisins, cashews, meat floss, etc., is very rich in taste. Although I can't eat spicy food, I still have to try the authentic Tom Yum Goong soup when I come to Thailand. The soup is sour and spicy, with the taste of various spices, and there are prawns, tomatoes, etc. Although it is spicy, it tastes good. Assorted vegetables, including green vegetables, dragon tooth beans, mushrooms, etc., taste good. Honey chicken wings, the meat is quite tender. Overall, the taste of this restaurant is good, and the price per person is more than 70 yuan, which is not expensive.

THE GOOD VIEW A restaurant recommended by the local driver, about 15 minutes' drive from Chiang Mai Old Town, outside the city gate of Chiang Mai. This is a restaurant and a bar combined together. There is a bar area and a separate area for the restaurant, as well as an open-air location near the river. If you want a quieter place, you can choose an open-air dining table. The price here is also moderate. The menu has pictures in Thai and English. If you can't read, you can order by looking at the pictures. The original pineapple fried rice is a recommended dish. The pineapple is filled with fried rice, meat floss, cashews, pineapple, and the taste of curry is a real Thai flavor. Tom Yum Goong soup, hot and sour, with lemon leaves, lemongrass, shrimp, curry, etc., sour, spicy and sweet. Garlic prawns, very large, fresh, and sweet. In addition, the pepper taste is also good.

It was our last night in Chiang Mai, and since it was someone's birthday, we had to have a good meal. We went to THE GOOD VIEW by the Mae Ping River. The candlelight still looks beautiful in photos. Menu (with pictures) This place has a more pup-like feel at night, with lots of locals drinking. You could see a lot of sexy Thai women. Although the green papaya salad had a lot of shrimp in it, I still had to say it wasn't very good. The mojito wasn't as good as the one I had at the coffee shop last time. The unnamed cocktail wasn't as good as the mojito. The grilled chicken wings, my friend's favorite, were just average. When my friend ordered the grilled pork knuckle, I told her I wouldn't be able to finish it, but she didn't believe me. It was all left over, what a waste! The mashed potatoes were quite good, and the pork knuckle was nice and crispy, probably because it had been fried. But it was bland, and the dipping sauce didn't go well with it. The Tom Yum Goong soup was pretty good. There was a singer on the stage, a beautiful female singer.
