I made tons of travel plans before coming to Koh Samui, but as soon as I landed, I ripped them apart—sleeping for 10 hours a day, browsing 7-Eleven in flip-flops, and waiting for the sunset in the ocean breeze. This "unfocused" feeling of relaxation was even better than checking out 10 tourist spots!
✈️I rarely use the word "relaxing" to describe airports! Koh Samui Airport is right on the beach—it's such a vacation! It feels like a town straight out of a movie. I recommend arriving 3 hours early for your return flight; the airport is perfect for lounging.
🏨The right hotel is 80% of your chances of success.
Choosing the Celes Samui Hotel was a real gem! The hotel is so peaceful. I woke up to birdsong in the mornings, wrapped in a bathrobe, sipping a glass of Thai bird's nest on the terrace, watching the coconut trees sway in the distance, and I almost wanted to put my phone away. There's also a photogenic infinity pool, and just down the street is the hotel's own private beach. The beachfront restaurant has live singers and stunning fire dance performances in the evenings. .
🥥It's not about the food, it's about the feeling of slowing down.
• SABIENGLAE RESTAURANT: A seaview restaurant recommended by a local friend. Dining with the ocean breeze, the sea is a jelly-blue! A meal lasted two hours, so comfortable I didn't want to leave.
.
• 7-Eleven Daily Check-in: A must-visit "happy hometown" every day! It's so fun to browse, find treasure masks, and so much delicious food, like heat-and-eat hot sandwiches, Thai-style thai rice, and two bottles of bird's nest for around 90 baht a day! They also have Meiji yogurt in various flavors... Eating them while looking out at the beach back at the hotel was a pure bliss.
.
· Night Market: A rite of passage after dark. The closest place to our hotel is the Fishing Village Night Market. It's huge and fun to browse! Lots of small stalls selling 8+1 items!
.
🌿 Don't rush to see the sights; just enjoy the little things that heal you.
• Honey Rose Herb Garden & Art: Experiencing Thai herbal culture! I followed the staff to the herb garden and learned about lemongrass, citronella, and more... I even made my own herbal sachet hammers. The scent of the herbs was so soothing.
• Thai Aromatherapy Oil Massage: I randomly found one near the hotel. It was 750 baht for 90 minutes. The oil used was coconut-scented, and the therapist was amazing!
· Absolute Sanctuary Resort. I tried ocean view yoga. The natural sea breeze was so relaxing, and I felt healed both physically and mentally!
🚤 You can even relax and unwind while out on the water.
• Pig Island: I chartered a boat with friends and arrived at Pig Island to see the little black pigs. You can buy some feed for 20 baht!
✅🌊This trip to Koh Samui not only allowed me to take tons of beautiful photos, but also gave me a long-awaited moment of relaxation. It turns out that vacations don't have to be rushed or forced. Just slowing down, even just relaxing by the sea, is the best way to travel. #Samui #The more you travel in Thailand, the more you fall in love with it #Travel tips for Koh Samui, Thailand

Landed in Koh Samui yesterday evening, the first thing I did was to check in at Sabienglae Restaurant on Lamai Beach. The seaside restaurant shrouded in twilight has a very romantic style. This is an elegant Thai restaurant that specializes in Thai cuisine, which is authentic and cost-effective. I tasted the long-lost Thai flavors such as Tom Yum Goong soup, mango rice and curry crab, and felt very satisfied. The sleepiness of the journey dissipated instantly. It is said that Sabienglae Restaurant is also one of the 10 best Thai restaurants and 10 best beach restaurants in Koh Samui, and is loved by locals and tourists. #Authentic Thai food #Thai food #Thai food
It was off-season when we went, so there were more staff than customers. The seafood was generally fresh, and the food was good. The food was served very quickly. The portions were small, so the average cost per person was a bit high. The service was average.
