The set lunch was just right after a morning of temple visits. I really appreciated the fresh, seasonal vegetables in the dishes. The tatami seating was a nice touch, though a bit tricky with little ones.

Cash only, but that's fine. The set menu was a solid deal. The fish was fresh, cooked just right. Portions were decent for the price. A straightforward, satisfying meal.

The three-cheese croque monsieur was good, crispy toast and lots of cheese. But for the price, I expected a bit more on the plate. It's fine for a light lunch if you're not too hungry.

The restaurant is just a short walk from Tobu Nikko Station, which is super convenient. I really liked the interior—lots of dark wood and soft lighting, felt very cozy and relaxing. The seats by the window were comfortable too.

The soba with fried shrimp was good, but the sake selection was a bit limited.
