Came here for a casual dinner with mates. The food is reliably good, and the house red they suggested actually paired nicely with the steak. Prices are fair.

Service was friendly and efficient, even on a busy Saturday. The place is small, so booking is a must. For the price, the portions were decent. I'd say it's worth a detour if you're in the area.

The Sunday roast was lovely, especially the brisket. The beef was tender and tasted so fresh. Our waitress Gabby was really nice. A nice spot for a relaxed meal.

Good spot for a casual dinner with colleagues. The menu clearly marks gluten-free options, which was helpful. Food was fresh and seasonal. Service was efficient, got us in and out in a reasonable time.

Popped in for a pre-Christmas bite with mates. The festive specials were proper generous portions, and everything came out steaming hot. Just what you need on a cold evening.

The Rockefeller burger was cooked well, juicy patty and the bun held up. Chips were decent. Solid choice for a quick business lunch.

Nice spot for a quiet meal. Had the steak and ale pie - proper, flaky pastry and the beef was really tender. A solid pub meal. Could have been a bit hotter when it arrived, but no big deal.

Stopped here to kill time and the lunch set was a total steal! The carbonara was so good, and my friend talked me into the banoffee pie - worth every calorie. Loved the old-school Italian feel and watching the boats. Just a really nice spot for a catch-up.

The scallops were spot on, and the beef ragu was a hearty main. What really made it for me was the wine list – found a lovely red that paired perfectly with the ragu. Views are a bonus. A bit on the pricey side, but worth it for the drink selection.

The Sunday roast deal is a steal at £10. The beef was really tender, and the chicken portion was huge. Everything came out super quick, which was nice. The place itself is quite cosy, with these big wooden tables that make it feel really relaxed.

Sunday carvery. Good roast for the price. The guy at the counter is always friendly, works hard.

Been getting their tandoori chicken for ages. Still hits the spot every time. Just the right amount of smoky char on the outside, juicy inside. That's what keeps me coming back.

Chandre and Gary were attentive throughout. They checked in regularly without being intrusive, and the service was efficient. Made the evening run smoothly.

Been coming here for years. It's my go-to when the weather turns - just duck in, grab a table, and they keep the hot tea coming. That's what keeps me coming back.

Booked ahead for a Saturday evening, which was definitely needed. It was packed! The staff were really lovely and attentive despite the rush. Our table was in a nice, quiet corner which made the whole evening feel relaxed.

Solid Chinese takeaway. Pricier than usual, but you get what you pay for. Their salt and pepper chips are a must-try – just ask for them.

A decent spot right by the Taff Trail, very handy for cyclists. The beer garden is nice when the sun's out. Food was pretty good, though my chips were a touch cold. Would pop in again.

The tasting menu was a delight. I really appreciated how fresh and vibrant the ingredients were in each course. The wine pairings suggested were thoughtful, though I would have loved a non-alcoholic pairing option too.

Always a good time here. Grabbed a pint and a burger after work, the vibe is just right for a casual catch-up. The staff are friendly without being overbearing.

Matt and Andy were spot on with their suggestions. They really know the menu, explained the specials well, and let us enjoy our meal without hovering. Good service.

The hot pasties are the real deal here. Flaky, buttery pastry, packed with a proper meat and veg filling. Grabbed one at the bar with a pint. That's a solid lunch right there.

Had a nice evening here. The pizza was pretty good, with a decent crust, and the calamari was fine. Service was friendly, though things got a bit slow later on. A solid spot for a casual meal.

Breakfast here is a good value for the town centre. The staff are always friendly, which makes it a comfortable spot.
