A proper old-school pub, feels like stepping back into the 90s. Had the steak and ale pie. The real star was the house red they suggested with it – a solid, earthy Rioja that cut right through the rich gravy. Made the whole thing. Bit of a wait for a table on a Friday, but that's the charm.

Service was pleasant and the pasta was pretty good. The waitress was attentive without being overbearing. A solid meal overall, though the portion felt a bit on the smaller side.

The steak was exactly medium-rare as I asked. The peppercorn sauce was rich and had a nice kick. Veggies were crisp and well-seasoned. A solid, straightforward meal.

Been coming here for years, and the burger deals on certain days are still a solid reason to swing by. Portions are generous, which is nice. The kids' menu is a decent size too, keeps the little one happy. It's just a reliable spot for that.

First time trying the Lamb Cawl here. It was so rich and hearty, really hit the spot on a damp evening. The broth had a deep, savoury flavour that was just right.

Food came quick and tasted good. Drinks were decently priced, especially for the city centre. Not a bad spot to grab a bite.

The fish and chips were solid, a proper generous portion. The fish was flaky and fresh. I had a local pale ale with it, which cut through the batter nicely. Classic pub grub done right.

The vegetable lasagne was really nice and filling. I appreciate that they have both vegetarian and vegan choices clearly marked on the menu, makes ordering so much easier. Good, honest food for the price.

Decent spot for a cheap bite. The food's tasty, and they've got a solid drinks list – loads of beers and spirits. Nothing fancy, but it's reliable.

Been coming here for years. It's a proper local pub, always busy with families. Food's solid, the Sunday roast is a winner. Staff are friendly without being over the top. Just a good, reliable spot.

Convenient spot for a reliable lunch in Weston-super-Mare. The fish and chips were solid, though the chips could have been a bit crispier.

Been coming here for years. It's my go-to when the weather turns - just duck in, grab a table, and they keep the hot tea coming. That's what keeps me coming back.

The hot pasties are the real deal here. Flaky, buttery pastry, packed with a proper meat and veg filling. Grabbed one at the bar with a pint. That's a solid lunch right there.

Had a nice evening here. The pizza was pretty good, with a decent crust, and the calamari was fine. Service was friendly, though things got a bit slow later on. A solid spot for a casual meal.

Breakfast here is a good value for the town centre. The staff are always friendly, which makes it a comfortable spot.

Angus at the bar was lovely. I always appreciate the fresh ingredients here, especially in the Blue Lagoon. You can really taste the quality. It's a nice, reliable spot for a thoughtful drink.

Found this place tucked away and the food was spot on. Their lamb curry had real depth, and the sommelier suggested a bold red that cut through the richness perfectly. A bit on the pricier side for the portions, but the pairing made it worthwhile.

Been coming here for years, and the staff are always so friendly. They remember my usual order, and the service is just consistently good. It's that kind of reliability that keeps me coming back.
