I had the grilled cheese and then the Tranese cod dish with a side of grilled vegetables and my husband had the tagliere board and the lamb skewers. Everything was very nice including the service and ambience. The huge indoor oven is quite spectacular. Reasonable prices.Pesto di Pistacchio

TheForkUserWe were staying overnight near Bari Centrale and found this gem of a restaurant near our AirBNB.Don’t let the neighborhood fool you, this is a great restaurant with lovely ambience.Staff were friendly and efficient and spoke English fluently.The food was excellent, we had seafood meatballs, Carbonera, and Amatracina. Fresh handmade pasta was excellent and sauces were rich snd tasty. Tiramisu for dessert topped off things quite nicely. The house red wine was quite good as well, although only sold by the glass versus carafes.If you find yourself by the Bari Train Station for an evening we would recommend Peppo without hesitation.Mavi Cafe-Bistrot
