TheForkUserLast night on the restaurant terrace we enjoyed the most delicious savoury crepes-for supper much welcomed after a long journey to Brive enroute to the Alps. The house speciality is the use of traditional Breton "ble noir" - for the crepe base. This a no gluten alternative flour made from buckwheat. The chicken and mushroom filing Crepe Mere was wonderful as was the "burger" crepe -and lovely desserts chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream. Will be our favourite place to eat in Brive. A must for anyone staying in Brive.
TheForkUserFabulous food; tasty, interesting and great value. Great service too! We sat on the terrace which quickly filled around us!We had curried aubergine with a fondant to start. It was new for me, and utterly delicious. Main was a herby battered chicken with couscous and a side of roasted vegetable. Chicken was amazing, slightly crunchy on the outside but moist on the inside. Desert was chocolate mousse (we could have had a fruit mousse alternative or cheese). We had coffees and a glass of house wine. Now we’ve found this place, it will def be a regular.
TheForkUserLovely bistro not far from the main centre. Lovely food, nicely presented. Buzzy atmosphere even on a very hot Wednesday lunchtime. Outdoor seating only available at the weekend which seems a shame.
_TI***owI was impressed by the high-quality, locally sourced ingredients used in the dishes at Chez Francis. The presentation is beautiful, showcasing the chef's creativity and dedication to excellence.
