KM StevenToday, when the Michelin Guide to Hong Kong and Macau 2021 was released, I will post a review about a Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant that I just went to dine in 🍴 This famous Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong is "Ming Court". They have been firmly seated at one or two stars for more than ten consecutive years (2009-2021) since the Hong Kong and Macau Guide appeared. It is located in the Cordis Hong Kong🏨, the dining area is elegantly decorated, and the restaurant offers a variety of exquisite dishes, including excellent homemade dim sum. Although the restaurant is located in a prime location in Mong Kok, I don't often go to Langham Place in Mong Kok. It's a rare visit after ten years. This time, in addition to ordering a few dim sum, I also ordered two selected award-winning dishes. [Taste] First, let's talk about their famous baked abalone and chicken nuggets. The plating is exquisite, using a whole dried abalone, and paired with Pu'er tea to relieve greasiness. It is a sincere work. We also ordered vegetarian spring rolls with morels and healthy three-color dumplings. The three-color dumplings have colorful skins and different fillings in each color. The green ones are porcini, elm ear and spinach dumplings, the orange ones are wolfberry, shrimp, crab meat and carrot dumplings, and the red ones are scallop, morel and beetroot dumplings. They taste good. As for the award-winning dishes, we chose "Ruyi San Nong" and "Dragon Emperor Wearing Golden Armor". Both are very creative dishes, especially the plum and scallop jelly in "Ruyi San Nong". At first, it was hard to imagine what it was like to have a scallop in plum jelly, but the feeling after eating it was quite good. It was sour and sweet with a little freshness, which was quite interesting. Originally, I wanted to try Yan Jingning's famous dish again, but the waiter said that it was not available that day, so I ordered "Liusha Yangmei" as a dessert. The crispy beetroot glutinous rice was served with mountain slag strawberry jam, which was very appetizing. 【Service】 Overall, I am satisfied with the dining experience at Ming Court. Their dishes are in the style of modern Cantonese cuisine, which is creative and does not conflict with traditional Cantonese cuisine. Although I felt that the restaurant was a bit short of staff on the day of the meal, the service staff were professional, diligent and friendly. 【Environment】 By the way, if diners are interested in art, they can also take a look at the contemporary art placed in the hotel or restaurant before and after the meal. The hotel concierge also gave me an introduction that day. It turns out that one of the paintings of Mr. Wu Guanzhong, a master of art who is proficient in both Chinese and Western culture, is also in it.

天旭I saw it on the Ctrip reputation list of Asia's 100 local restaurants, and the Uber driver, as a local, strongly recommended it, so I decided to eat here. It is located in Central, next to Lan Kwai Fong. If you live in Central, you can basically walk here or go back to the hotel after eating. The restaurant is famous for its roast goose. There are chefs making roast goose in the open stall, which also shows the special method of charcoal grilling. There are many old photos in the restaurant to record its history, but the service is very modern compared to other old brands, because there are no pictures on the menu, and the service staff are dressed in suits and have no emotion and make quick recommendations, which may be a feature of Central. You can choose the breast and leg of the roast goose, and the soup on it is poured in front of you by the waiter with a pot when serving the dish. It should be based on the recipe of this old soup. Because the specialty is roast goose, the surrounding of the goose is also a specialty, and the combination of goose liver sausage and pork sausage is also available for takeaway. I also ordered century eggs and shrimp roe pig's feet (like shrimp roe tofu rolls, smoked), tortoise jelly and pudding. In general, there are many things you can explore in the restaurant by yourself, and the taste is suitable for friends who like to eat poultry on a daily basis.

_M1***56I booked a month in advance, but unfortunately I was sick that day and had a severe cough. The waiter recommended Sydney tea and ordered a set meal for one person. The abalone appetizer was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the truffle pumpkin soup was added with mushrooms, with a variety of tastes. The main course of lobster stuffed with crab claws was fresh, and the 50-year-old tangerine peel and fragrant meat were cooked to perfection. The lobster rice had a mixture of French lobster soup and Shandong cuisine prawns and cabbage. The dessert was also good.

KM StevenThe Verandah, located in Repulse Bay, is famous for Eileen Chang's "Love in a Fallen City". It is managed by The Peninsula Hotel and has been providing high-standard meals and English afternoon tea since 1920. Over the years, many celebrities have been entertained here, including Nobel Prize winners Hemingway and George Bernard Shaw, American movie star Marlon Brando, King Carlos I of Spain, etc. From the elegant style and historical traces of the interior decoration, plus the sterling silver tableware and high-quality tea with rich desserts and savory snacks☕️, it is not difficult to feel the elegant clothes of the past when dining in such an atmosphere. In terms of food, the caramel chocolate puffs with exploding sugar, truffle fried egg tarts, crab salad rolls and muffins are all very exquisite and excellent, and there is also unlimited soufflé supply, which is very generous. The attitude of the service staff is also friendly and attentive. It is a good place for friends and relatives to gather.

桂林仙儿Although it may be a bit exaggerated to travel across the ocean to eat it, we did find it by going through streets and alleys, and even encountered holidays and closed doors. We also arrived at noon and saw that the golden signboard "Beef Brisket in Soup" was sold out... It's really amazing! But they really have the capital to be proud... Have you ever eaten such soft and chewy beef brisket and tendon? Have you ever drunk such a delicious and mellow soup? And the silk stocking milk tea that made my son and I order three cups at once... Oh yeah! Look, there are really people who dragged their suitcases from thousands of miles away to get here, and the result is naturally like us, smacking their lips, and leaving with a look back every step, still not satisfied...

Francesco BenazziEmbarking on a culinary odyssey at "8 ½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA" in Hong Kong, I unraveled the mystique that surrounded this renowned establishment during my 15 years in the city. Guided by General Manager Antonello Picchedda, an adept wine connoisseur and gracious host, our culinary adventure commenced with a refreshing glass of Champagne Agrapart and Fils 7 Crus. The journey unfolded with a poignant Amuse-bouche—a Cold Melon Soup, a melange of 48-month Pata Negra, Burrata flakes, and Taggiasca olives. The fragrant and soft melon, cultivated by the Lorenzini family in Mantova, was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to locally sourced, quality produce. The Marinated Tuna Tartare with Basil Emulsion, Yuzu dressing, and Oscietra Caviar showcased an exquisite balance of tenderness and flavors. Soave Classico (Vigneti di Foscarino) bridged our palates to the Brittany Blue Lobster, a symphony of tenderness amid Roasted Matsutake Mushroom and a 48-hour lobster reduction sauce with citrus elements. Chef Bombana's personal visit before the Spaghetti Chittara with Sicilian Red King Prawn was a gracious touch. Antonello's wine pairing brilliance was evident in the Ribolla Gialla Riserva, Primosic, 2017. The White Truffle Tagliolini, a signature dish, artfully blended truffle, egg pasta, and Parmesan. The Veal Tagliata, featuring braised Veal Cheek, roasted mushroom, and pumpkin puree, embodied butter-tender perfection. Paired with Brunello di Montalcino, La Mannella, 2016, it stood as an outstanding culmination of flavors. A classic Venetian Sgroppino and the enchanting Pumpkin Dessert, paired with Moscadello di Montalcino, Mastro Nanni, 2015, marked the conclusion of our epicurean journey. In essence, "Epicurean Symphony: A Culinary Ode to 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA in Hong Kong" goes beyond myth, offering an extraordinary exploration of culinary delight—a testament to Chef Bombana's mastery and the restaurant's unwavering commitment to excellence.

Sherry去旅行I have been to Hong Kong for six times. This time I want to try the time-honored Cantonese cuisine in Hong Kong. I carefully selected this 45-year-old Michelin Hong Kong-style restaurant, which is located in Tsim Sha Tsui. It is very convenient to choose this restaurant for lunch when visiting Hong Kong✔️Sharing of signature dishes: 🥩Royal honey barbecue pork is a very classic dish. Don't miss it when you come to a Cantonese restaurant. The taste is very unique, with fat and lean meat that is not dry and hard, rosy in color, just the right amount of honey sauce, and rich juice. One portion is simply not enough and you won't feel greasy at all😭🥰🍛The signature fried noodles with shrimps are large in portion and have a lot of shrimps, golden and attractive, you can't go wrong Recommended set meal: 🥗Soft shell crab and honeydew melon salad is so crispy when eaten hot! It was fried just right, and the honeydew melon salad neutralized the greasiness of the fried food. It was a very good appetizer with a mixture of sweet and salty. 🫕A whole abalone stewed with morels, a whole large abalone, the soup base is rich and very healthy 🍗Crispy roasted pigeon is a Hong Kong specialty dish, one of the signature dishes of this restaurant, fried on the outside and tender on the inside, and looks good. Recommended index 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🍤The tiger prawn noodles in soup are so big. A lobster is served with soft and glutinous soup. It is super satisfying to take a bite 😋🍨Almond tea glutinous rice balls are different from ordinary almond tea. Black sesame glutinous rice balls are incorporated, and the taste is richer and more delicate. I like this dessert very much 🍮The environment in the store is fresh and elegant. Locals are eating and drinking. It is very comfortable to sit by the window and enjoy the view. The space is large and not crowded. The waiters are very good and will introduce the dishes. As a Michelin restaurant in Hong Kong, the price is also very affordable. It is recommended to bring your family to taste it~

Leo-GregCame here from Sai Ying Pun in the rain. After wandering around several streets and alleys, I never thought that the store I was looking for would be built in such a shed! It turned out that the few tourists I met on the road also came here to check in! Sit down. The most famous thing about his shop is tomatoes. I ordered a bowl of tomato and red sausage noodles, a cream toast and milk tea. People kept coming to eat and take photos and check in. The taste is really good. The tomato sauce is said to be boiled for several hours, and the flavor is rich. The toast is crispy. Later, I came here for breakfast again, and I wanted to eat Jiuji Beef Brisket opposite, but unfortunately it was closed due to heavy rain, and his shed was also closed, leaving a clean empty space.
