Start the winter story with a photo. KitzSki ski area has always been ranked No. 1 among the world's best ski resorts, with many ski resorts and a rich variety of ski trails. These include the two largest ski resorts:
- Kitzbühel Ski Resort
- Kirchberg Ski Resort
We stayed in the small town of Kitzbühel this time. The two airports closest to the town are Innsbruck and Munich. Innsbruck is 85km away, about a 70-minute drive, and Munich is 126km away, about an hour and 35 minutes drive. Innsbruck has a direct train or transfer to Kitzbühel station, which takes about 1-1.5 hours.
Kitzbühel is known as the "Pearl of the Alps". It has perfectly groomed slopes, heavy snowfall in winter and excellent snow quality, which can last up to 155 days. It has been rated as the "best ski resort in the world" many times.
The most famous is the "world's most thrilling" take-off runway. It is also the birthplace of downhill skiing. If you have the opportunity to reach Kitzbühel Mountain in January, you can see the Hahnenkamm brave downhill ski race held here every year.
