Carluccios - Fenwick Colchester

The food was good but the choice was poor. The menu has been reduced and it's not an improvement. And this "Italian" no longer serves pana cotta as a desert option.

We had an excellent traditional British Breakfast on a Sunday morning at Carluccio's--a bit of a habit there--with a window table and enjoying the Grande offer which includes to beverage of choice, generous serving of juice of choice and choice of Mimosa or Bellini aperitif. The staff are pleasant and attentive. All told a delightful experience to which we often look forward as a Sunday treat.

After a hard week, and before the Christmas madness, we decided to go for breakfast. The vegetarian and the vegan breakfasts were lovely. The vegetable were cooked to perfection and the freshness was obvious. Courgette, spinach, mushrooms, tomato, how much more healthy could you get, and with the great taste of the Mediterranean. We had fresh juice and coffee. The waitress, Aga, was friendly, helpful and attentive. A great way to start the weekend!

We usually have breakfast here and it is wonderful with fresh ingredients perfectly cooked. Today we had lunch. The vegetarian ravioli was lovely and the side vegetables were great. However, there was not much vegetarian choice. Serving staff were delightful, as usual, and service was quick. The place is very clean and organised.

Great restaurant, staff are great … food is really good If they could not chuck the bottles in the bin in the clear away area as the noise makes you jump… if they could be a little quieter in the clear away section.., everything would be perfect x
