Pecan Lodge

I’m usually not the one to wait in line for a restaurant but I’m on vacay & friends/family wanted to go. I’m glad they got me to go. Line moved quickly, ordering was easy, food serving was ample and most importantly it was good. Definitely recommend a trip to Deep Ellum for this eatery.

If you say that Pecan Lodge has the most delicious barbecue in Dallas, no one would disagree. The long lines on weekends are enough to prove it. There is no need to recommend the barbecue. The ribs are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the brisket is fat and lean and full of meat, and the special spicy sausage is perfect. The highlight is the arm-sized grilled beef ribs, which are more tender and juicy than pork ribs, but the portion is too big, so if you have a lot of people, you can order one to share.

Barbecue lovers line up in droves for the best brisket, sausage and Peacan Lounge's signature prime rib. Don't forget to save room for a bowl of banana pudding to end your meal - the recipe is made by co-owner Diane Forton's grandmother and is a very "old-school" recipe that's rich but not too sweet, and it's the perfect after-meat treat!

The food is really delicious and the environment is very good. It is really great to be able to experience such authentic food at this price.

The decoration is very stylish, and BBQ and beer are perfect. I came here with my classmates to celebrate the end of the exam.
