I love the atmosphere, it is casual and chic, and the server was polite and friendly, so I can relax and enjoy the food and moments with my friends here.

Not only is the atmosphere great, but the food is amazing! I love their blackened salmon!  The salmon fillet is incredibly delicious and tasty. Its flesh is remarkably tender and offers a delightful culinary experience.

First - this review is primarily of the Whiskey Bar on the bottom floor of the Motto (Hilton) hotel. It is marketed as a “speakeasy”, which implies dim lighting, relaxing and upscale vibe, maybe jazz music. It is well decorated and dim, but be prepared for a DJ with loud dance music (no dance floor). Not relaxing.  Could be amazing with better music - save the dance party for the rooftop bar.  Next, my husband ordered a bourbon from their extensive menu. $14. Bartender says sorry, we are out of that but here is something similar. Husband says sure. When he gets the bill, the bourbon substituted was $50. FYI, gratuity is automatic 20%. Connect the dots. Very shady.  BUT, enter Candace, the new manager. She agreed that transparency in pricing, especially when substituting, is a must for good customer service and is refunding the charge. She was friendly, helpful and understanding. I have no doubt she is and will continue to be an asset to the bar that will add value and make this a truly great spot, whether you are a hotel guest or not.  Thank you, Candace!

This is a four venues dining experience. Featuring a cafe, a diner, a rooftop bar, and a subterranean wiskey bar, Crimson is a good choice if you are staying nearby. The real jewel is the wiskey bar downstairs. Great service and lots of wiskey options. The food was good too.

Hidden gem in the Motto hotel basement 

The Crimson diner served me a delicious breakfast, which I was pleased with!😋 I ordered the chicken and waffles breakfast with a side of eggs. The chicken was delicious and had a sweet n savory taste! The waffles were fluffy and had a nice buttery taste! The eggs were cooked soft and had a nice creamy taste. The male server we had was extremely kind and friendly. Please give their coffee bar a try as well! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, please give it a try if your in the area of downtown DC.👍

Across Chinatown Metro station, on the ground floor of the Motto Hotel by Hilton. They have a choice of some burgers. It took some time to get served. The burger was good, with fries. They serve water. The surpirse was when the bill came, On the menu it cost 17 USD, but in the end I paid like 23 usd plus tip. The place was quiet and ok..

CRIMSON DC

This is one of the few small shops that I find amazing. There is a two-story building with a garden, yellow stone walls, colorful ceramic tiles, and the contrasting colors of the dining table, carpets, and pillows highlight the strong Moroccan style. The shop mainly sells light meals and afternoon tea.
