水手兰卡Anstruther is an ancient fishing port on the east coast of Fife, located 15 kilometers southeast of St. Andrews and 80 kilometers south of Edinburgh on the Firth of Forth. The name of Anstruther comes from the Scottish Gaelic language. The history of the town can be traced back to the early 12th century. In 1583, King James VI of Scotland approved the town as a royal borough, granted it the right to trade, and recognized the importance of its port. After returning from the May Isle on June 26 on the "May Princess" cruise ship, I strolled around the town streets and the port pier for 3 hours. After walking around the town, I felt that the west side breakwater was the best viewing and photographing spot for viewing Anstruther town, port boats and the sea. The light at 6 or 7 o'clock in the afternoon is ideal, and Anstruther is charming under the setting sun.
There is a fish and chip shop in the town that is famous far and wide, called Anstruther Fish Bar, which has won the title of the best fish and chip shop. The cod is very fresh and fried tenderly. The short, thick English fries are better than the French fries in fast food restaurants. Takeaway fish and chips are 10.50 pounds per portion, which is affordable. #BritishTravel #ScotlandTourism Anstruther Fifeshire
