Service and quality of food excellent. An experienced chef leading a team seemingly without effort. No showy display just seriously good food tasting of its ingredients and perfectly balanced.

Everything about our visit was a pleasure.The team were all friendly and attentive, but we never felt rushed. The lounge and dining room were very comfortable, cosy, clean and smart without ever being stuffy or too formal.And the food! Dishes were all beautifully presented with quality ingredients providing some of the finest flavours we have experienced in a long time. Not over complicated, yet a memorable experience that we will be looking forward to repeating when we return this way.Congratulations to the team and thank you for such a wonderful time.

Lovely place with a great menu. Quite pricey so probably only for special occasions and, like many restaurants, struggling with staff shortages. We couldn’t use the offer but the 2-night stay with meals was good value for what was offered. Portion sizes good - even on the taster menu - so build up a good appetite before going!

Our annual trip for my birthday -we live 65 miles away, but the trip is always worth it. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, the food is excellent and the service good. It may be expensive but the best restaurant we have been to. I love the extra treats with the evening meal.
