There is always a warm welcome from the staff at The Durbar. This restaurant is a Bayswater institution, which serves delicious food at very reasonable prices with prompt and friendly service to the locals who love it and the tourists who seek it out. Would highly recommend for a jolly nice curry, especially the Chicken Dhansak, it’s delicious!

We figured that if Darbur has been going since 1956 it must be doing something right, and so it proved - we had a great time there. The food was all delicious, chosen from an extensive menu which featured all the tried and tested favourites plus a few surprises; service was friendly and quietly efficient; and the general vibe comfortingly traditional. We honestly couldn't fault it! Heartily recommended.
Always lovely and delicious. We are regulars for good reason. These gentlemen always make us feel at home. Dave and Claire.
Visited the Durbar again last night. It’s the perfect local Indian restaurant, lovely staff who give great service and delicious food. Try the Chicken Dhansak, it’s excellent.Don’t forget to take your own beer or wine, as they don’t serve alcohol.
This friendly neighbourhood restaurant, now in 67th year, serves delicious food with great service in a pleasant atmosphere. Frequented by locals who know how good it is and tourists who’ve done their homework on where’s good to go, you won’t be disappointed at the Durbar. Don’t forget to take your own beer or wine with you as they don’t serve alcohol.
