I have eaten at this restaurant before and enjoyed everything about it so decided to go back and use my voucher for complimentary Champagne! The reviews were not so good but I have to say we still had an amazing time, service in particular from Stefan was second to none, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The sharing Camembert and Sea bass arrived in good time and was hot and tasty. We will return and can recommend.

Once we found the way in, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. The problem was that the front door from the high street is kept locked and there is no doorbell. There is no sign up to tell you that the only entrance is via a hotel up the next street! It was only when I phoned that the answerphone said it was a hotel so I then walked round looking for a hotel of that name. They were not expecting us despite booking through the Fork website. The restaurant was empty and the lights were off but they quickly found two waiters who were great and all was then well.

This western restaurant is located on Aldermen Street, less than 100 meters away from the Oxford Museum, and is easy to find. The restaurant is decorated quite elegantly, the store is spacious and clean, and the dining environment is very good. The western food here is very authentic, the service is also very good, and there is no need to queue up for a seat even at mealtime.

The waiters are warm and thoughtful. Compared with ThaiKun, which is across the street and is extremely indifferent to Chinese people and forces tips, PV&#39;s service attitude is really perfect.
The beef stewed in red wine is very tasty. I don&#39;t understand why anyone would give a bad review for beef.
And I like mussels too much. I must have been a female goose of the sea in my previous life. ​
