Dametra Cafe

Dametra Cafe is a local internet celebrity, I came here because of its reputation. The food here is really good, and it is cooked with great care. I especially like their steaks. The atmosphere is great, and foreigners will sing and dance inside. It feels more romantic near the beach.

We come to Carmel about once a year for a weekend and always decide to eat at least one meal at Dametra Cafe and we are always glad we did! This last weekend was no exception and we enjoyed delicious food, a warm and cozy atmosphere and even an impromptu belly dance by a patron to the live music (who clearly knew what she was doing). All in all it is always a great time when dining at Dametra and we will no doubt be back again. P.S. It is great to see that they now have a sister restaurant another block away on the beach to help alleviate the wait times.

Cametra Cafe is located near the intersection of Ocean Ave and Lincoln St, the main street of Carmel Town. As night fell, Ocean Ave seemed particularly quiet as tourists left one after another, but the small Cametra Cafe was full of guests. There were delicious food and wine, as well as singing performances. It was so joyful! It happened to be the birthday of an old man that night, and the waiters and we met a nearby female choir that came to sing for fundraising. It was a very interesting experience.
