What travelers say:
What a unique, fun place to enjoy great, fresh Mexican food. You order at the counter from a large menu. Great options...even for vegetarians or vegans! You can watch the chefs put together their delicious dishes at their large grilling station. I had 3 veggie tacos, Mexican rice, and shared an endless bar of chips and salsa...delicious!! We even got a free ear of grilled corn...yum! They do serve alcohol...but I didn't check out those options. Self-service cleanup, much like Panera. Really busy...but fast and efficient! Can't wait to go back again!

I don't know why I haven't written about one of my favorite places before - great food, busy day and night, and the food is fresh and innovative. The owner chose this location simply because the amount of traffic passing by is the busiest in the city. I like the steak polenta, and my friend has toast on Friday. Be sure to get the chip and salsa bar - you won't regret anything you get, and the prices are very reasonable.
This restaurant was recommended by some local friends. We arrived early by dinner standards and there was already a long line. You are greeted by a pleasant host, offered a drink (several choices but we recommend the horchata) and then promised to get you a table after you order. The entire menu looked fantastic. We had the pork tacos which came with a fresh corn tortilla. We also had black bean refried and fresh rice (not the typical 'dirty' rice'). The salsa bar was an absolute steal at $2.50 with unlimited chips and 4 salsas to choose from (mild pico de gallo, roasted tomato, timallo, and a slightly spicy salsa). We decided to return later in the weekend for brunch and were delighted again. We had the cypress quesadillas (rich with salsa and warm salsa that somehow stayed crispy) and the breakfast tacos. A small restaurant that has to struggle when unable to utilize the outdoor seating area, but the food was excellent and worth the wait!
