Whilst wandering around the French Quarter we happened upon this Brasserie on the corner of Frenchman and Royal. We were ready for something to eat so thought we&rsquo;d give it a try. We weren&rsquo;t disappointed!! The food was the best we&rsquo;d had in New Orleans.

Marigny Brasserie

Huge lines during the day, but we went at 7 am on a Monday and were almost the only ones there. It was actually quite relaxing that way and we walked along Victoria Square in the early morning light with few tourists. I highly recommend! The beignets of course were great, and warm!

Tableau is a restaurant you can&#39;t miss when you come to New Orleans. This restaurant is located in Jackson Square in the French Quarter of New Orleans and is connected to the historic Le Petit Theater. Both the environment and the dishes are superb. The restaurant has an oyster bar, a wine cellar, and a dining area on the second-floor balcony. It is worth a special trip to taste it.

This seemed like one of the more serious Jazz Clubs. We were at a wonderful show by Charmaine Neville. She&#39;s a regular so check her out. It is a small but comfortable space with good sound. We loved it.

The Gumbo Shop is located close to all attractions. They have a vegan/vegetarian special every day. Usually red or black beans on rice. But occasionally will have a vegan gumbo. Was delicious.

Tourist-friendly restaurant with standard Cajun favorites. It was a 45 min wait but they called us sooner via phone call. We had to wait for next table since you have to be at the restaurant within 5 min of the call, and we were too busy taking pics in Jackson Square.
