We stopped for a late lunch - quaint, cozy restaurant with colorful art on the walls. Has a neighborhood Italian restaurant feel. We started with a caprese salad and arancini appetizers. More was delivered later. Bottle of wine was handy with the recommended corkscrew. Lasagna was homemade and was excellent. Amazing! We finished with a cannoli which was incredible, frozen chocolate ice cream oozing with rich chocolate sauce, cinnamon and espresso. Incredibly good! Best meal of the entire weekend.
A great place to go for a fancy Italian meal in Little Italy, Buon Appetito did not disappoint. Great Italian food, excellent service and lots of friendly diners enjoying the food and recommending it to others.
This place is a disgrace. The bread was like tasteless cotton, fuzzy and speckled. We were shocked at the food. Also the "fresh" swordfish was dry and mealy. The veal steak looked like dog food. Almost impossible to cut, but ok to chew. Both dishes came out cold. We didn't eat any of it. We expressed our dissatisfaction and anger. We didn't have to pay. We left. There are many great restaurants on India Street, Buon Appetito is definitely not one of them. Shame on the chef if there is one.
