Grand Ole BBQ Y Asado

This restaurant called Grand Ole BBQ Y Asado is also a great place to eat barbecue in the local area. For meat lovers, it is definitely worth a visit to this restaurant.

The barbecue in the eyes of Americans is different from ours. It is usually grilled chicken and grilled meat, eaten like hot dogs. Coke is a standard drink, and beer is also acceptable. Children usually drink Coke.

This family style BBQ "joint" has outstanding BBQ, especially for San Diego. I lived in Memphis and grew up in Texas, so I know good BBQ. They're open from 12 til. Till they run out of food.

If you like meat, this is your place. As we waited in line we watched item after item go by and luckily our selection was still available. The brisket and pulled pork were both great. The tri tip and turkey were equally good. We didn't have any extra food and we were tempted to order some meat to go. You have to get there early as they sell out fast. Fun atmosphere and friendly dogs

Best BBQ I've had in San Diego, we got there at 545 on a Friday and waited 30 minutes in line for our food. They sold out of the beef ribs before we even ordered them. There was a constant line all the time we had 4 items sold out by the time we left, 7ish. Get there before they open if you can. Parking is not bad nearby too. All the BBQ was great and their 4 sauces were good. The sides were good (asterisk) in my selection and the others loved them. We had ties, biscuits, ribs, pulled pork and lamb. I recommend the sandwiches, they have lots of meat and the bread is better than the white bread they give you alone. P.S. The ice cream on the side of eating has amazing ice cream sandwiches and the capitanchrunch donut.
