The red wine glass in this restaurant is super nice and big. The Italian ham inside is also very good. This platter is worth it, with many varieties and good taste. The potato chips with prawns are just average in taste, as they are overfried.

I hosted a corporate dinner at Salvatore's Private Dining Room. My guests were impressed with the elegance of the restaurant from the moment they walked through the front door. We were immediately greeted by the staff and taken to the private dining room. The service was outstanding throughout the entire evening. We simply could not have asked for a better experience. I am happy to recommend this restaurant for corporate events or personal dining.

We had dinner here because we had an event downtown and because we had eaten and stayed at the restaurant of the same name in Tuscany's B and B. Everything was wonderful. The staff was welcoming and attentive. The wine list was extensive (Italian wines may have been marked up). The location and atmosphere were pleasant. But...most importantly, the food was extraordinary. Impeccable, really. I had the "Sisto" pasta dish and my companion had the noodles. Each was excellent. I will definitely go again the next time I'm downtown and will order "Sisto".

I heard this is the oldest Italian restaurant in San Diego. It really tastes good. The food is authentic and tasty. I had the pasta with shrimp, clams and scallops with spicy sauce. My son had a pasta alfredo which he totally ate. My daughter had the seafood (bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp, fish and potatoes.). My wife always had the spaghetti bolognese. We started with freshly toasted bread, butter and meatballs as an appetizer. There was a pianist playing music while we were there. The atmosphere was really nice and romantic. The owner is old school and takes pride in his business. Overall, a really good, authentic and expensive Italian restaurant.

Salvatore's is a small Italian restaurant near the Gaslamp Quarter. They offer a variety of dishes and some vegetarian options. We were warmly greeted at the door. Service was quick and attentive. The meal was wonderful - the steak (beef shank) was so tender with the rice that it almost fell apart. My wife had the salmon which was also good. The only downside is that the restaurant is a bit pricey - expect to pay about 60-70 PP, more if you get alcohol. Overall, I would visit again.

Very nice Italian restaurant in the Gaslamp District of San Diego. The food was very good. My husband had the steak con risotto. Very flavorful and the meat was very tender. I had the spaghetti alla bolognese con porcini which was delicious. <br /> Our waiter, Michael, was fun and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
