KevinA simple coffee shop, where I had an American breakfast. The pancakes were delicious, and I felt that one portion was enough for two people. Each of us ordered a set meal, which felt like a lot of waste. Next time, I will just order one portion and share.

Walk in from an ordinary street into a curious place. Good food. Good drinks. Cool staff. Worth stepping inside.
Can you say eclectic? Don't let the black walls with antelope heads paired with surrealist paintings featuring royal courtiers with animal heads scare you. When you first walk through the rustic weathered front door you know this place is different. It's not a place to look at, but a place to go. (Maybe the dark ambience is intentional to discourage selfies...haha) It's all cozy and intimate in a very unpretentious way. The food is also a bit eclectic (we tried the "happy hour" menu)...you'll find some sliders with a little twist and interesting things like the boar after (chives with cheddar and boar sauce). The citrus salad was a swirl of arugula (grapefruit and orange slices?) pecans and a light citrus sauce. I didn't try the poached eggs, but it might be on my next visit. The happy hour cocktail list is interesting - many old school standards with a little twist. They also have a decent beer selection including a Belgian Duvel Love. The service was great - we sat at the bar and Simon took care of us most of the time - very attentive to us and his craft - great attention to detail. In fact, that was one of the things I focused on the most - the quality of the drinks and the attention to detail. We learned that they hand press their own lemons every day and make all their own syrups, including fresh grapefruit sour and pomegranate. (No corn syrup colored water here!) Garnishes include hand scraped lemon zest, mint and more. This is truly a level of quality rarely seen in most restaurants, even expensive ones... Also, almost forgot to mention - there is a huge room upstairs conducive to group events...had a blast - will be back!
4.5 stars Came here for dinner. Inside is dark with a unique vintage vibe. Honestly, I wasn't impressed with first impressions but my friend insisted it was one of his favorite places downtown so I stuck with it. Our server was very friendly, interactive and made recommendations. Antelope Sliders - Delicious! These were so juicy. My hands were dripping with gravy but I didn't care. I also liked that they didn't overload with other things to let the meat be the centerpiece. Tortilla Bilungua Sliders, these weren't up to par but were still good in their own right. Simple with the radish providing a nice crunchy element in a good way. Overall, pleasantly surprised and looking forward to trying other things on their menu!
The desserts are delicious. I love this shop. The chocolate cake is very rich.
