Staff were really nice about my vegan diet. The manager went through all the options for me, which helped a lot. Felt properly looked after.

The full breakfast here was spot on, exactly what you'd want. I was really pleased to see a decent selection of craft beers on tap, which paired nicely with the hearty food. If you're in Barry Island, it's worth heading over.

Been coming here for years, and the lunch deal is still the main reason. A proper full-sized pizza for that price, even when they're packed. It's just reliable.

Popped in for a late dinner. The grilled sea bass was spot on, and the staff suggested a lovely white wine that complemented it beautifully. The garden area is much nicer now, perfect for a relaxed evening. A solid choice for a casual meal.

Great spot for a catch-up with friends! The seafood platter was delicious, and there's plenty of space for a group. Staff were really friendly too.

The arancini were really good, and the focaccia was fresh. A decent spot for a quiet dinner with a glass of wine. It was a bit on the pricey side, but I had a nice evening.

The buffalo pizza dough had that lovely, chewy texture you want. The mozzarella was fresh and creamy. A proper taste of Naples, right here. Just a shame the crust got a little soft in the middle.

The portions are really generous for the price. You get a lot of fresh, good quality food.

Been here a few times now and always try something new. The lamb shank last night was so tender it just fell off the bone. Never had a bad meal.

The rhubarb crumble was fantastic, and the sommelier's wine pairing suggestion was spot on. Really lifted the whole dessert.

The fish and chips are always spot on – super crispy batter and the fish tastes so fresh. I love their curry sauce, it’s really rich and adds a nice kick. Perfect for a casual catch-up with friends.

Love that this place is so dog-friendly! Our two pups were welcome inside and out. The veggie sausage sandwich was really tasty. Perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends who have dogs too.

The cheeseburger was so loaded with cheese it was almost messy, in a good way. The fries came in this huge bucket - we couldn't finish them and ended up taking a doggy bag home.

Great spot for a quick bite. The portions are huge, everything tasted fresh. Got the chicken sandwich and it hit the spot. A bit loud when it's busy, but that's fine for a fast lunch.

Been a regular for years. The generous portions are great, but their house red is a bit too heavy for my taste. Still, a solid spot.

I have visited The Fox Den three times over the last month or so and on each occasion the food and the service have been fantastic.Special shout out for the pie of the day. I had a steak and ale pie a few weeks ago and my friend enjoyed a turkey and mushroom pie this week - both huge portions and delicious.

Good pre-theatre option near the Hippodrome. The set menu was efficient and the food arrived promptly. Staff handled the rush well. A solid choice if you're on a schedule.

The afternoon tea was so inventive, and I really appreciated how well they handled my gluten allergy. The room had lovely natural light too.

The service here is spot on. Staff were friendly without being overbearing, and they kept our water glasses topped up throughout the meal. It just lets you relax and enjoy your food.

The Sunday roast is as good as they say. The beef and pork belly were spot on, with plenty of veg. Connor was a top lad.

I really appreciate that they offer a crispy bacon swap for the Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise was light, and the eggs were perfectly poached. The pancake batter also tasted freshly made, not from a mix. A nice spot for a mindful breakfast.

The food presentation is stunning. Their wine list had some interesting pairings to complement the colourful dishes.

First time in, and the food was just as good as everyone says. The service was really on point too. Just a heads up, they prefer cash.

The brisket melt sandwich was spot on, just like you'd get in a proper American diner. Great for sharing with friends, the portions are massive!
