Wonderful food, great service and super place to sit next to an excellent sea view. The menu mentioned via The Fork was different to what we got, which was a pity. Nevertheless we ate a la carte and it was delicious. Mostly we do not eat dessert, but here it was worth it

The history here is something else, worth a visit just for that.

The staff here are so lovely! They really know their stuff when it comes to gluten-free options, which is a lifesaver for me. My partner and I keep coming back. That Cardenal dessert is a must&mdash;so good.

I have eaten at the restaurant several times so made a reservation as they can be very busy. The food, as usual, was lovely, but the service really let it down. Our order was taken both for drinks and our meal together. We sat for ages before our drinks came and watched several other tables get their drinks even though their order had gone in after ours. Eventually our drinks came and almost immediately after our food arrived. Once we were finished our plates were taken away but nobody asked if we wanted desert. After some time I stopped a waiter to request a desert menu. We sat for ages before our order was taken. Again our plates were taken when we were finished. We wanted to order cocktails but were surprised when the bill came to the table. I had to explain we weren&#39;t finished and had not asked for the bill. We received the cocktail menu and waited ages for a waiter to take the order. To have a main meal, desert and cocktail took about 2 hours 20minutes. So don&#39;t go if in a rush.

Loved escaping the tourist crowds here. The vibe is definitely upscale, but in a way that feels relaxed, not stuffy. Gabriel at the front was so welcoming, remembered our names. That personal touch really stood out.

Fish and chips were solid, and the sausage starter with honey was a real highlight. Good portions for the price.
