Everything about O Trovador was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and the service warm, attentive and friendly. The venison is among the best we’ve ever had and you just have to have the garlic prawns!

Small place, but honestly the food hit the spot. They even brought out a little dessert on the house at the end, which I wasn't expecting. The seating is a bit tight though, not gonna lie. I could hear pretty much every conversation around me. Still, I'd go back for the meal itself.

It is located at the heart of the city's historic centre close to the ancient Roman Temple of Évora and Cathedral of Évora. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and has a cozy ambience.

Every year we make sure to visit this restaurant while traveling in Portugal. The food and staff are excellent.

No menu, just whatever they bring. Oxtail and the braised pork were the best. House wine worked well with everything. Felt like a proper meal, not a tourist thing. Price was fair for what you get.

The staff here were so welcoming, made me feel right at home. Food tasted properly homemade, not like a chain. Portion was generous for the price, left full and happy. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when craving something comforting.

The beef was decent — cooked properly and pretty tender. Staff were friendly enough, and the place had a relaxed vibe. Had a quiet dinner there and it worked fine for what I wanted. Nothing fancy, but I’d probably go back if I’m in the area again.

The goat cheese salad really stood out, and the staff kept the water glasses full without hovering. Place is small but cozy. My wine pairing was decent, though nothing mind-blowing.

Decent spot for a nicer meal. The tasting menu with wine pairing was pretty good, local ingredients came through well. Service was friendly, though it did feel a bit formal for my taste.

Nice spot to grab a drink. Cocktails were solid, bartender knew what he was doing. Decor's got that warm, classy vibe. Not too loud either, could actually talk. Was a good way to end the night.

Delicious lunch of borrego assado with a demi of very good house red, service impeccable and friendly, intimate atmosphere, five stars!

Staff very helpful. Food excellent and we’ll presented Couldn’t not answer your question about noise. Is a little box quiet or does it mean it’s rated poorly. Not noisy at all.

An all around great evening. Food was superb and remarkably reasonable in price, the small simply furnished restaurant was completely filled with happy diners deep in conversation, and the space was very comfortable. Our servers were gracious and friendly and eagerly offered suggestions. All was good.

Wow! From the moment we entered we knew we were in for a special evening. The place itself is just amazing! Great art, great music, everywhere you look there is something unusual to catch the eye.The food choice/menu was very good and our waiter, Vasco, explained how the sharing concept worked. We also shared a recommended wine flight to compliment each course. We loved the food! Each course was a pleasure to eat. Portions were plentiful. Service was very good.Thoroughly recommend a visit.Thank you HF

The arroz de marisco was spot on, and the owner actually took time to chat with us. Felt like a proper local spot for dinner in Évora.

Stopped by for a quick bite and ordered a few local dishes. Food came out fast, which I appreciated. Place has that old-school vibe, nothing fancy but comfortable. Portions were decent for the price. Solid spot if you're in the area and hungry.

Stopped by for lunch after checking out the auction house nearby. Got the bife à cortador—meat was properly fresh, cooked just right. Portions are generous, staff actually helped us figure out what to order. Nothing fancy about the place, but it doesn't need to be. Solid spot if you're in the area and want a proper steak.

The broad bean purée with pork ribs was the star — garlic marinade really came through. Sweet potato with chili was a nice touch too.

The food and wine were excellent. To top everything off, the prices were very reasonable. We recommend the veal steak, which was our best meal in Portugal. Clearly TascaTosca Tosca is a hidden gem.

Generous portions for the price, that's for sure. The grilled fish was fresh and the veggies weren't soggy. Service was fine, nothing fancy.

The açorda with cod was really good — broth nicely seasoned, not too salty. Black pork cheek was tender too. Prices felt fair for the quality, especially compared to places closer to the tourist spots.

Decent local place inside the walls. The feijoada was pretty good, and the marinated quail eggs were a nice touch. House wine was fine too. Gets busy on weekends, so expect a bit of a crowd.

Came here for lunch with a couple of friends and honestly the vibe was so fun. João took care of us and the pork cheek was super tasty. Ham and lamb were solid too. Place is small but cute, love the decor. Only thing is it got a bit loud by the end but we were having too much fun to care 😄

Solid wine list. Local red was cheap and actually good. Staff knew their stuff when I asked for a pick. Didn't expect much but left happy.

The pastel de nata was proper—crisp shell, creamy middle. Coffee did the job too. Place gets busy but worth it.

Came here with a couple of friends last week and honestly the homemade bread with garlic butter was the highlight for me 😅 we kept asking for more. Pasta was pretty solid too, even though I’m not usually a pasta person. Place looks really nice inside, good for hanging out. Just a heads up, it got a bit loud later in the evening.

The migas with pork was solid and the portion was big enough to skip lunch the next day. Price felt fair for what you get. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

The food and ambiance were fantastic. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines and the food they were serving. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will be back there again!

The staff were lovely and the place feels cozy. Had the Alentejo pork—so flavorful, honestly the best I've tried. Chocolate mousse was a nice finish too.
