TheForkUserExcellent as always. This gem of a restaurant set by the side of the hotel pool is lovely in all seasons. The welcome and service is very good as is the food. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.
TheForkUserGreat feel to the place , a lovely patio based in a beautiful garden location , food was good from a consise menu. Nice wine at reasonable price..
TheForkUserEverything was great. Food was really good.
TheForkUserEvery year we come back to La Siesta because the staff are so lovely and friendly and the food is so good, and their wine selection is just perfect. Our favourite restaurant in France ????
TheForkUserThis is a fabulous bar restaurant with loads of Cuban atmosphere. Brilliant music to dance to. Great vibe.
TheForkUserFantastic birthday lunch for my wife. Every dish was excellent with great combination of flavours, and the dessert with rhubarb was spectacular.
TheForkUserUnavailable dishes only notified after ordering - not too many in, but initial service still slow. Having said that the food was very good !
TheForkUserNice authentic food from the region. Very friendly hostess. The prices are also very friendly ????The wine was good, it was a nice evening at a good place!
TheForkUserWhat an embarrassment. We arrived at the restaurant, advised the receptionist, and were then left standing in the entrance, no waiting staff came near us. After some time, the receptionist took pity on us and escorted us to a table in what appeared to be an annex to the restaurant more commonly used as a breakfast room, indeed we were seated adjacent to a collection of cereals.Eventually, the only waiter appeared and placed a scruffy sheet of paper on the table and disappeared, the sheet of paper turned out to be the menu but was so badly scrawled that it would have embarrassed an 8 year old child, worse still it contained a minimal choice of 2 starters followed by a fish dish and a meat dish, none of which was in the least appetising. Bearing in mind that it was the comprehensive menu displayed on their web site that attracted us to the restaurant in the first place we were all quite stunned, particularly since no explanation was offered. We stayed at the table for some time debating what we should do, during that time, the lone waiter never came anywhere near us, so we got up and left.To be clear, my low mark on food is simply because of the lack of any choice offered and the appalling way that the menu was presented.I know these are tough times and they may well have had a short-term staff crisis but there is no excuse for the way the restaurant was conducted, a simple phone call notifying us of a problem, an apology or an explanation would have gone some way to redeeming them but all we met was indifference.
TheForkUserGreat good in a lovely atmosphere, thank you!
TheForkUserWe had a very nice meal here. The food was very good, and a good choice of dishes on the menu. We appreciated being able to choose one, two or three courses depending on how we were feeling. The restaurant is well laid out with plenty of space between the tables. Service is very good, and we were well looked after. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant.
TheForkUserWell presented excellent food. Valerie is always smiling, even though she is running the place single handed.
_TI***16The ambiance of the restaurant is lovely and cozy, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal or a special occasion. I can't wait to return!
TheForkUserA very cute little restaurant that delivers way above your expectations. Situated down a narrow street in the old town, don’t be put off by your initial impression. Very friendly service & amazing food make this restaurant a bit of a hidden gem. Probably the best food we had over a 2 week stay.
TheForkUserWe arrived a little early for our 20:00 table and had a cocktail. The dining room was partly full but a separate party was outside. After being seated we waited for 15 minutes to get a menu. After another 15 minutes we had only received some water and while looking around saw that hardly anyone but the outside party had been served food. As we had a table that could see into the kitchen, you could tell that it was pandemonium. As no one came to take our order and dinner was unlikely to ever arrive in our lifetime, after 30+ minutes we left.
TheForkUserAmazing local Catalan food. Service was prompt and friendly. Good wine recommendations and the beef stew was absolutely delicious! Had a lovely night.
TheForkUserTable was ready and waiting, staff were lovely. Chicken kebabs (brochettes) were good as was the salmon. Mussels were a little salty for my taste but still good. Calamari batter was too thick and cake like for us.
_TI***jxThe service was impeccable during my visit, and the warm welcome made the experience even better. The panoramic view adds to the charm of this place, making it a must-visit.
TheForkUserA very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. ! Sitting round the pool, it’s a nice space Fork says I have to use more words to valid this part of my review. Why ??? 120 words !!!! It almost keeps me fromsending in this review ! ..
TheForkUserThe restaurant offers a 30€ menu with a good choice of dishes. The tuna tartare was excellent. As main courses, we ordered the cod with garlic muslin and veal fillet. The garlic muslin was tasteless. The veal was already sliced and irregularly cooked. Some slices were more cooked than others. A dessert of Catalan cream was far too dense. The lady who welcomed us was very attentive.
TheForkUserReminded us of our student days but with better food! We will take friends.
_TI***f0This restaurant offers a magnificent dining experience with a stunning view of the Muga River. The food is exquisite, and the service is impeccable, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area.
TheForkUserGreat tapas and very friendly staff
