Made the drive just for their Chicago deep dish. It&#39;s huge! Got a whole box of leftovers to take home. They even let us bring our dog inside, which was a nice surprise.

I always look for fresh ingredients, and their steamed fish is just that. The ginger and scallions tasted so vibrant, like they were just picked. A lovely, simple dish that feels nourishing.

The team here is really nice. They noticed my elderly aunt had trouble with the stairs and helped her find a comfortable table without us even asking. That sort of consideration means a lot.

Booked afternoon tea at Slayley hall. On arrival shown to table set up in the main restaurant which was unfortunately very noisy due to amount of people in there. Asked if we could have it in one of the smaller rooms and we were  shown to the whisky snug which was perfect for afternoon tea.  Waiter who looked after us was amazing and we felt like nothing was too much trouble. He explained everything that was on the afternoon tea and options. The food was lovely and very fresh and the surroundings perfect for an afternoon tea.

Liked the choice of seating areas, some spots are much quieter than others. Service was quick on a weekday afternoon.

This place is my new go-to for catching up with friends. The vegan thali is so good, and you can share a few of their speciality drinks like the turmeric chai. Already been back twice!
