Family-run place. You can feel the care in the food. Had the lamb curry, rich and tender. A solid, reliable spot for proper Indian.

Portions are huge! I was honestly surprised by how much food came out. Left feeling stuffed and my wallet didn't cry. 😅

The tagliatelle al salmone was lovely, packed with big pieces of salmon. The pasta itself was just a touch soft for my liking, though.

The upstairs area is so spacious and clean, and the view is lovely. Really comfortable for a relaxed meal.

Love the coffee here, especially the caramel latte. They have a really interesting selection of syrups you don't see everywhere. The mocha was a nice choice too. Good spot to sit for a while with a book.

Been coming here for years. Always start with the mango bhel and vada pav. That madras curry is the one for me - just the right amount of heat, never disappoints. Finish with the gulab jamun and ice cream, every single time.

Portions were generous, which I appreciate. The real highlight for me was the freshness of the ingredients in the salad - the greens were crisp and the vegetables tasted so vibrant. A nice, simple meal.

Decent portions, especially for the price. The food's solid - not fancy, but you get what you pay for. Good spot for a no-fuss meal.

As a Newcastle fan, I had to stop in. The memorabilia everywhere is really cool, especially for matchdays. The vibe is spot-on, feels like a proper local spot.

Came here with the family on Christmas Day. The menu had some interesting new dishes, and I really appreciated the focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. The roasted root vegetables were a standout - so vibrant and full of flavour. A lovely, relaxed meal.

The Botanist offers a stunning atmosphere with its unique decor and a beautiful glass dome, making it a perfect spot for a fun night out.

A nice family-run Italian in Jesmond. The atmosphere is lovely and homely, good for a quiet dinner. Service was consistently fine, though the pasta was a touch under-seasoned for my taste. Decent spot overall.

Sea bass and mussels were spot on. Tiramisu was a nice finish. Quick lunch, in and out in 45 mins. Perfect for a workday bite.

The orange espresso martini was a standout. Really enjoyed it with the steak, the bitterness cut through the richness nicely. Cocktail menu had some other interesting choices too, went for a second round.

A quiet evening, so service was a bit relaxed. The fondue platter was really good for sharing. Decent choice of cocktails and mocktails too.

First time here last night. We shared the Railway lamb curry and the lamb Madras – both were really good. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I particularly liked how comfortable the booths were, made the whole meal very relaxing. Will be back.

Good spot for a business lunch. Staff were patient, even changed the TV to the match I wanted. Atmosphere is calm, makes it easy to talk. Service was responsive without being intrusive. Solid choice for this.

Came for restaurant week. The Korean fried chicken tacos were good, crispy and flavourful. Philly cheese steak spring rolls were also solid. Set menu was fairly priced for what you got. Service was efficient.

Came for lunch, the ribeye was spot on. Nice char, cooked just right. Decent portion too. The space is huge, plenty of room between tables which is nice.

The vegan breakfast was stunning, honestly one of the best. My husband's Tyneside breakfast looked delicious too. Everything was hot and fresh.

Booked for Sunday lunch, got a table in the bar. The turkey roast was spot on, really moist. Extra roast potatoes were a must, crispy outside and fluffy inside. Good portion sizes, left feeling nicely full. Parking was easy.

Came in for a bite and really enjoyed the food. The place has a nice boutique feel to it. Service was friendly and quick. A solid spot for a relaxed meal.

The Thai curry was a bit watery for my taste, could've used more punch. My partner's main was really good though, so I'd probably try something else next time.

Good spot for a casual pint. The beer selection is decent and the prices are very reasonable.

Been coming here for years. The mirchi chicken jalfrezi is always spot on. Lamb tikka starter is thick and juicy, proper portions too. Never had a bad meal.

Been here a few times. It's a nice, relaxed spot for a catch-up with mates. Gets quite lively, but that background chatter actually makes it feel cosier. Not a bad place at all.

Interesting old building, well kept. Classic 'Spoons with that massive menu and loads of drinks. The staff were really friendly and knew their stuff, which helped a lot.

Grabbed the halloumi fries and chicken strips for a quick lunch. Both were spot on, came out fast. Good to see plenty of veggie options on the menu too.

Solid pub grub, good value. The Sunday roast was a proper one, beef was tender, and the Yorkshire pudding spot on. All-day breakfast hit the spot too, decent sausages. Exactly what you want from a local.
