First time trying African and Caribbean food here. The sauces made the meat really tender, and the portions were generous. A pleasant surprise.

Came for the performance night. The set menu was decent, but honestly the portions felt a bit small for the price. Good entertainment though, really got everyone involved.

Modern and classy inside, but still feels cosy. Perfect for a proper catch-up with friends - we stayed for ages chatting even when it got busy. The noise level was just right, you could actually hear each other!

Had breakfast and lunch here while staying nearby. The breakfast omelette was spot on, and the lunch burger was juicy with a nice char. Staff were friendly and helpful. Solid spot for a meal.

The fish is always spot on, lovely crispy batter that doesn't go soggy. The chips are nice and fluffy, just right for their curry sauce.

Wasn't looking for anything specific, just walked in. Most of the menu is gluten-free which is handy. Had a decent, casual meal. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.

Their French toast is the one. Thick cut brioche, soaked through but still holds its shape. The custard isn't too sweet, just rich. Gets that perfect crisp on the griddle. My benchmark now.

The staff are so friendly, and the owner came over for a little chat. It's a small thing, but it makes the whole experience feel more relaxed and personal. A very comfortable spot for a quiet meal.

Grabbed a quick breakfast here. The full English was solid, coffee hit the spot. Place is really spacious and clean, which is nice. Staff were on it. Good to see they're dog-friendly too.

Staff were friendly and made space for us even though it was busy. A decent spot with a relaxed vibe, and they’re dog-friendly which is nice. The food was pretty good, though the service was a touch slow.

Popped in after a walk through Jesmond Dene. The full breakfast hit the spot—the black pudding was particularly good. Nice to have a proper spot so close to the park.

Popped in early for the pre-6pm set. Three tapas for £20, just right for two. The patatas bravas were spot on. Good little find.

The food was tasty and good value, but honestly, I just really liked the space. It’s got this relaxed, airy feel with lots of natural light and comfy seating. Felt easy to unwind there for a bit.

As a vegetarian, it's rare to find a full menu of options. The ingredients were so fresh, especially in the seasonal salad. The presentation was lovely, too. A very pleasant meal.

The Americano was spot on, and the staff were really friendly. But the best part was the atmosphere - it just felt right being in the market, not too loud or crowded. A nice, relaxed spot.

Staff are quick and helpful, never pushy. Got a lunch special recommendation and my food was out in no time. Perfect for a quick bite.

Been coming here for years, and their traditional soups are the reason. Always the same comforting, rich flavour that fills you up without weighing you down. It's the kind of reliable dish you keep coming back for.

The Sunday roast was spot on. Really liked the vibe in the bar area, it was busy but still felt relaxed. Staff were friendly even when they were clearly in the weeds.

Massaman curry was spot on. Rich, tender beef, just the right heat. Crispy duck too. Fresh ingredients, authentic taste. Solid Thai food.

Popped in for lunch. The soup of the day was a proper portion, really tasty. The Atlantic prawn starter was good too, but the prawns themselves were a touch overcooked for my liking. Still, a solid meal.

The staff were so sweet when I asked them to warm up my scone. It came out perfectly, just the right amount of warmth without being dry. That little extra touch really made my afternoon.

The vegan Christmas dinner was solid. Good portion, and they even included extra gravy and pigs in blankets.
