Food was excellent and large portions (to split if needed). Waitress was super helpful and chatted with us about Amsterdam. We will definitely return!

TheForkUserThis was our second visit to the restaurant, and the mark of a top restaurant is consistency and it did not disappoint. The first time we came on a Friday night, late, and it was loud with a great party energy. The second time we had a 18:30 seating on a Friday night to meet some friends and we were able to have a nice conversation over top quality tapas food that was imaginative and artfully presented. The people running this business have been there for I think they said say something like 15 years and it shows. They’ve got their game down. There was a small glitch with our reservation because we had reserved through TheFork, but they hadn’t checked us in and marked us as a no show, which made it hard in making our second reservation. Glad we got in!

TheForkUserOutstanding variety - The food in Maz Mez was amazing. Great variety of dishes with an excellent taste and this in a wonderful atmosphere. The personnel is lovely. It is a spacious restaurant, not crowded with loud tourists, but a calming and pleasant environment far from the madding crowd. I liked most the vegetable cold dishes. Delicious taste to each of these. Good price also in relation to the quality.

Difficulties with English, even though we spoke English they kept addressing us in Dutch with no hint to compromise.Staff not organised and gave the impression they didn't speak with one another. When we arrived at dessert different waiters offered different options but in the end they decided for us.
