Been meaning to try the February tasting menu here for a while. The courses were beautifully put together, with a nice play between delicate and bold notes. My only note is that the wine pairing felt a bit safe – could have been a touch more adventurous to match the food's creativity. Still, a lovely evening.

Came for a late cream tea. The scones were incredibly fresh, which made all the difference.

Had their curry goat at a friend's wedding last weekend. The meat was so tender, fell right off the bone. Flavour was spot on, not too spicy. Everyone kept going back for more. Service seemed really smooth from what I saw.

Popped in for a lazy breakfast with my mates. The full English was spot on, and the staff were so chill and friendly. It’s got that perfect vibe for a long, chatty catch-up. Definitely coming back to try their Sunday roast!

The Italian host knows his wine. Had a lovely glass of red with some excellent charcuterie. The view from the terrace is a real bonus.

The cocktails were the real star for me. I tried their signature 'Smoky Negroni' and the balance was spot on - not too bitter, with a really nice herbal finish. Great vibe for a Friday night with mates. 🍸

Cosy little French spot, ideal for a relaxed dinner. The coq au vin was spot on, and the wine list had a few really interesting Burgundies that paired beautifully. A bit on the quiet side, but that suited us just fine.

Been coming here for years. It's a proper old pub, not one of those fancy tourist spots. Low ceilings, dark wood, feels like it's been here forever. Just off the main drag so it's a bit quieter.

Been coming here for years, the lamb madras is the one I keep ordering. Tender, packed with flavour, just the right amount of heat. Never had a bad one.

The wine list was a real highlight. Food was great, felt like a proper chef's menu. Good value even if service was a bit slow.

Menu's got a good range, even for veggies. Chips are proper homemade, nice and crispy. Quick service too, perfect for a fast lunch.

The owner and his wife are lovely. They remembered us from a previous visit and took the time to chat. It's that personal touch you don't get everywhere. The service is genuinely warm and attentive, which made for a very pleasant evening.

Found this place on Mayflower St. Their Thursday dosa banquet is the real deal. Crispy, flavourful, even better than some I've had abroad. A proper find.

Great spot in the Barbican. The atmosphere is perfect for a group dinner, and their wine list had a few interesting local options to explore.

Cosy spot. The smoothies were spot on, and they paired nicely with the lunch we had. Good value.

Great spot for a pre-theatre meal. The set menu had plenty of options, and parking nearby was easy and cheap.

Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding was solid, generous portions. The vegan nut roast is a decent option too. Service was efficient, got us in and out for a business lunch.

The Sunday roast is decent value, and I like that they use local produce. The beef was pretty good, though the potatoes could have been a bit crispier. A solid choice for a relaxed weekend lunch.

Clean stall with seating. Menu photos help with ordering. Pad thai was flavourful, green curry had good spice. Solid spot for a quick, reliable lunch.

The food is pretty good, with nice spices and balanced flavours. You can tell they care about the cooking.

Came for the view from the terrace, didn't leave disappointed. Watched the boats on Plymouth Sound over lunch. Food was decent, a bit pricey maybe. But that view, wow.

The garlic dip here is fantastic, really elevates their pizza. Had a glass of house red with it, a simple but spot-on pairing. The base could be a touch crispier for my taste, but that sauce keeps me coming back.

Breakfast starts early, which is a plus. The food is decent, nothing fancy but it hits the spot. Price felt fair for what you get.

Been coming here for years, and their fish and chips never disappoint. The fish is always crispy, chips are proper. Sometimes they'll throw in a little extra, like a free side of mushy peas. Good, solid local chippy.

Nice local pub, they’re very dog-friendly which is a plus. The staff were all really helpful and made it a pleasant visit. Had a decent pint and a simple ploughman’s lunch – nothing fancy, but it hit the spot for a relaxed afternoon.

The festive platter was lovely for sharing. The main courses were a bit hit or miss, but the portions are satisfying.

I popped in for a light lunch and was really impressed by the freshness of the salad ingredients. The greens were crisp, and the chicken tasted properly grilled, not just reheated. The table service app made ordering easy, and it arrived quickly even when the bar area got a bit crowded. A solid choice for a simple, fresh meal.

Popped in for lunch on a sunny day. Sophie was really helpful with my dietary stuff, which made it easy. The food was spot on. Just a nice, relaxed meal.

Been ordering from them for 15 years, never a letdown. The food is just reliably good every single time. That's what keeps us coming back.
