Lines can get long at dinner, but the kiddie scoop is a good deal. It&#39;s a decent size, my kid never finishes it. I usually just get that for him.

The wedding cake from Sugar Fixe was a real standout. The vanilla bean layers were moist, and the buttercream had a perfect, not-too-sweet balance. Looked just as good as it tasted.

Broken Tart was SO good and the perfect breakfast stop before exploring the Frank Lloyd Wright houses in Oak Park! The matcha was decent, but the baked goods were definitely the stars. The banana bread was incredibly moist and delicious, and the chocolate cookie was insanely good. My favorite might have been the biscuit with jam and cream&mdash;super flaky, fluffy, slightly salty, and absolutely amazing with the sweetness of the jam and cream. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. Definitely worth stopping by if you&rsquo;re spending a morning in Oak Park!
