The roast beef at the carvery was spot on. Perfectly pink in the middle, and the gravy had a proper depth to it. The Yorkshire pudding was light and crispy. That&#39;s what I come for.

We have had many meals at the Smuggiers Rest Peacehaven in the past for different occasions as it is quite close to home,  We booked this our 28th wedding anniversary at short notice, And had another very enjoyable meal looked after by a very attentive waiter called Addison which made it all very pleasant meal/evening,

The fish was the star for me - the batter had this perfect crisp and the inside was so moist. Chips were a proper portion too. Just a really nice, friendly spot to grab a bite.

The ackee and saltfish here is a real find. The ackee was soft and buttery, the saltfish flaky and not too salty. It just works together perfectly. Could easily be my regular order.

Popped in for the three-course special. Solid deal. The wine list had a few interesting options by the glass, which was a nice touch. Went with a red that paired well with the steak. Could do with a few more craft beers on the menu, but no major complaints.

Decent spot right by the station, very handy. The food was pretty good, though the portion was a bit on the small side. It has a nice, cozy feel to it.
