The staff were really thoughtful, especially with our dietary needs. Kids' meals arrived first, which was a big help. The fish and chips were solid, and they had a decent ale selection that went well with it. A proper pub experience.

The upstairs event space has a really nice, relaxed vibe on Monday nights. Perfect for board games with a drink. Just a shame they don't serve food in the evenings, had to grab a bite beforehand.

It's like stepping into a different era. All the original features are still there, just as they were. A proper slice of old Liverpool.

Popped in before the match. The steak and ale pie was solid, proper comfort food. What really stood out was the house red - a surprisingly decent Merlot that paired perfectly with the rich gravy. Drinks are fairly priced for the location, which is a bonus around here.

Been coming here for years. The staff are lovely and actually remember what you drink. Food's always decent for what you pay. Toilets are consistently clean, which is a big plus for me.

Loved the feel of this place. It's got that proper pub atmosphere, warm and buzzing but not too loud. The interior is surprisingly spacious, which is a nice change. Found a cosy corner by the window and just enjoyed the vibe.

Michael was really helpful with my dietary needs, which I appreciated. The food was tasty, but I did find the portions a bit on the smaller side for the price. Still, it was a nice, friendly evening.

Loved the decor here! The vintage vibe is so cool, and that old motorbike parked inside is such a fun detail. Really gives the place a lot of character.

Breakfast was fine for a quick family stop before heading into Chester. The toast was good, reliable. My fried egg was a bit overdone, but it didn't ruin the meal. Solid spot for what it is.

Been going here for years, it's my local. The halloumi salad with chips is always spot on. Proper portion, halloumi cooked just right - not rubbery. It's what keeps me coming back.

Really liked the bright, airy feel here. Big windows let in loads of natural light, which made it feel clean and fresh. A nice spot for a relaxed family lunch.

Love the vibe in here. The live music nights are brilliant, really makes the place feel lively. Just a great spot for a casual pint and a catch-up.

Staff were really careful with my peanut allergy, checked everything twice.

The stout was a proper treat. Really enjoyed it. The selection of local ales was spot on, all the pints were well-kept. Just a solid, reliable choice.

Found this little spot by chance. Kev, the new owner, is just the friendliest guy. Came back the next day for the fish pie again—that’s saying something.

Been coming here for years. The beer garden's always in great shape, huge space to spread out on a sunny day. They keep the guest beers rotating, which I appreciate. Never feels stale.

Popped in for a quick pint. The lager was properly chilled, just what I needed. Staff were friendly enough. Parking was dead easy, which is a bonus around here. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.

Service is top-notch, even on a busy night. The staff really know their wine list, which made choosing a pairing for my meal a breeze.

Came for the game and it was perfect for that, loads of screens everywhere. Grabbed a burger and some wings, solid pub grub. The pool table was a nice bonus while waiting for halftime. Parking was easy, which is a plus around here.

Standard Wetherspoons breakfast, nothing fancy but you know what you're getting. Had the big one before 12, good value for the price. The bacon was decent, eggs cooked right. It's a solid option when you just need a reliable feed.

A proper pub. The rotating cask ales are always spot on, which is exactly what you want from a place like this.

A decent spot for a casual evening. It’s got a nice local feel. The outdoor seating is fine, though it did get a bit chilly later on. Drinks are pretty straightforward. A solid choice for a relaxed drink.

Friendly, lively crowd. The woodwork from the old ocean liner is stunning—spent ages just looking at the details. A nice bit of history while you eat.

The Sunday roast was served in a giant Yorkshire pudding, which was a nice touch. Loads of meat and veg tucked inside. Felt very cosy and generous for the price.

Solid Guinness here, properly poured. The new electronic darts board is a fun addition, keeps track of the score for you. Nice little upgrade for a classic spot.

Great spot just a stroll away. The small plates are perfect for sharing with a group, left us all satisfied.

The Christmas music and decorations were nice, but the real star was the beef and ale pie. The pastry was flaky and the filling was rich and hearty, exactly what you want on a cold day. Could have used a few more chunks of beef, but the flavour was spot on.
