The Sunday roast beef was cooked just right, still a bit pink inside. The Yorkshire pudding was huge and crispy on the edges, perfect for soaking up all the gravy. Could have used a bit more horseradish sauce though.

Been coming here for years, and what keeps me coming back is the consistency. Even on a packed Saturday, the service stays solid. Our server Cai today was great—kept us in the loop without us having to ask. Food arrived hot, just like it always does. That's what matters to me.

always enjoy coming here for food, staff always friendly and helpful, food is really enjoyable x

First time trying their sizzling ginger beef. It came out on a hot plate, still sizzling and smelling incredible. The beef was really tender and the ginger flavour was spot on. A solid find.

Been coming here for years, and the portions are still just as generous as ever. I’ve tried most things on the menu over time, and it’s always a solid, filling meal. That’s what keeps me coming back.

The team here are so friendly and chatty, really makes for a lovely atmosphere. They stayed open late on a holiday for us, which was a nice touch. It's just a very comfortable place to have a meal.

Came for the early bird specials and wasn't disappointed! The menu had so many options it was hard to choose. Ended up with the seafood pasta and it was spot on. The place itself is lovely and clean, felt really welcoming.

Kerrie and the team were so polite and helpful. It just makes the whole visit feel a bit nicer, you know?

Been coming here for years for my afternoon tea. It's the little historic details that keep me coming back - feels like stepping into another time. Prices are still decent for the area.

Friendly staff, really good with kids. My little one was fussy but they were patient and even brought a small toy. Made a casual lunch much easier.

Been coming here for years, and the bacon on the full English is always spot on. Crispy, not too fatty, just right. The rest can be a bit hit or miss sometimes, but that bacon keeps me coming back.

The staff were really thoughtful. They noticed we had sandwiches to take away and offered to cut them up for us, even putting them on proper plates. Little touches like the chocolate with the coffee make a difference.

The lamb qouzi was lovely and tender. Portions are generous for the price, which is nice. I found the booth seating quite comfortable for a relaxed meal.

Lovely spot by the river. The hummingbird cake was the highlight for me - moist, not overly sweet, with a really nice cream cheese frosting. A proper slice too. The coffee was just okay, a bit weak for my taste. Nice for a quiet afternoon.

The bar manager really knows his stuff. Suggested a lovely Spanish red that went perfectly with the charcuterie board. Staff are friendly, no fuss. A bit pricey for the wine, but you're paying for the expertise.

The train carriage seating is such a fun idea. I loved the view of the lake from our table. The menu had a few nice salads, which was perfect for me. My grilled chicken salad was fresh, with crisp greens. A lovely spot for a light lunch.

A decent neighbourhood pub. The owners and bar staff were friendly, made us feel welcome. Had a couple of decent pints and the Sunday roast was pretty good. It was a bit crowded, but that's to be expected. A nice spot for a relaxed afternoon.

Found this place by chance. Portions are huge, honestly couldn't finish my plate. The lamb shank was spot on. Staff were really friendly and checked on us a few times.

Hygiene rating is 5 stars, which is a big plus for me. The toilets were actually spotless, which you don't see everywhere. Food was really good.

Been coming here for years. The Scouse is the real deal, just like my nan used to make. Staff are always friendly and quick to help. A proper local spot.

Came here for a working breakfast. Eggs Benedict were solid, and the full English was cooked properly. Portions are decent for the price. Good spot if you need a quick, reliable meal in the area.

Clean and bright spot, the self-service setup works well. Breakfast deal is decent value, but the rolls were a bit dry on my visit. Good for a quick, efficient bite.

Service was friendly and quick. They moved my seat when I mentioned it was a bit chilly, no fuss at all.

Popped in for a quick bite. The food's solid and honestly, you get a lot for the money. Staff were really nice too. It's just a simple, decent place.

Service was spot on. Staff were really friendly and attentive, checked in just the right amount. They handled my dietary request without any fuss, which was a relief. Made the whole meal feel relaxed.

The breakfast sandwich is the thing here. Bacon cooked just right, not too crispy, and the egg is soft. Good bread too. For the price, it's solid.
